This has been my favorite Long Beach Restaurant for many years, even when its name was Barnaby’s and it was located on Beach Boulevard. The food is great, but even more importantly to me, the comfortable, relaxed riding room is never “loud”. Dining is about friends and family and good conversation, as well as good food.
Always good food and good service. Claire is the best. The gumbo is best around I just wish the bowl was bigger.
Our family enjoyed a delightful outdoor dinner. The staff was gracious and accommodating. Our meal was prepared and served quickly and accurately. I had the mahi-mahi, wow!
Beautiful restaurant, friendly and polite wait staff, and a very personable owner. He made a point to check on us multiple times. I recommend the Eggplant Lilli...it is amazing! We will be back!
What a delight!. What a pleasant surprise. This is a cut and a half above the rest of the businesses that dot the culinary scene along the coast. Great atmosphere, thoughtful and prompt service and top notch meals!

Gulf Coast Delight. I have been eating at John Bull's restaurant's for over 17 years and one thing I can say everything has remained the same or has gotten better over time. One of the best gumbos on the Ms. Gulf Coast, make sure you get a cup of the gumbo when arriving. This is one restaurant I would recommend for lunch or dinner any day of the week. If attending for lunch the menu is extensive from great sandwhiches to great salads. I would recommend the sampler appetizer for a big party with the house made broccli balls, house made mexican eggrolls, chicken strips. This is enough for 4-6 people. If you only have two in your party go with the gumbo and the best smoked tuna dip on the coast for your appetizer. The entree's I recommend for dinner are eggplant Lillie and stuffed shrimp. My favorite choice for lunch is there signature Bernie's steak sandwhich. I had my son's christian after celebration in Bull's private room. We had a party of over 30 and everything went off without any hiccups. It was staffed to a tee and John's attention to detail is by far his greatst attribute. One other note I recommend is perching up at the bar and having a few cocktails and some apps!!!!!!
Strong choice in long beach. We have enjoyed our dinners here. The food is always good, especially the grilled tuna. service has been superb, we really enjoy the ambience, even when busy you can easily carry on a conversation across the table.

Bulls is our resturant of choice in our town. They have good sandwiches or steaks or seafood. Not to loud with light music. We eat there 2 or 3 times a month.
French Onion Soup. THE BEST french onion soup I have ever had, but prices are a bit high for the quantity of food, and there isn't a great selection.
The tuna dip with a glass of Moscato is the very best! Trust me!

The atmosphere is good, food is good, service was really good. You couldn't ask for better service. Good variety on menu. A little pricey but you get a lot of good for the price.
Ordered some grilled fish. Fish was fresh with no off taste. This particular fish can be dry but not here! My salad greens were fresh. All in all a very pleasant meal.
Outstanding seafood plates. Very good variety with many New Orleans selections. Never disappointing. 😎
Was there for a special event, a high school reunion. Bull's is clean and the food is excellent and reasonably priced. The salad options are great but they did not have avocado. The fried chicken sandwich is a must!
Fantastic place to eat. The stuffed mushrooms were awesome. My wife got the Chicken Alfredo and thought it was great. I had the ribeye and it was cooked perfectly with lots of flavor. Our waitress was always checking on us and filling our drinks. We will certainly be back.
We had wonderful food, wonderful service, and the atmosphere was nice and quiet and pretty. The bread pudding is to die for!
