I visited while at a conference in Long Beach. This place was so awesome I ate two consecutive evenings. There didn't seem to be any other option that could top my first experience here. Evening 1 I had the drunken noodles. The best I have had in a long time-since I lived in Chicago. I also had the Thai iced tea. This was also very good. My first experience with this tea so I have nothing to parallel with. I also had the grea tea lava cake. It was breath taking. After looking at the bio of the chef-it all makes sense. Day two I had pad Thai. Also very good. For dessert I had the coconut Panna cotta with coconut gelato and pink guava.
At a meeting in Long Beach, went out to Thai District restaurant with a group... thought it was so good that I went back on my own a couple of nights later on my last night in town. Some of the best northern Thai style food I've had outside Thailand, nice atmosphere, reasonable prices, and very friendly/efficient staff.
One piece of advice - try to Brussels Sprouts (either appetizer or the side dish)... maybe not "authentic", but superb.
Next time I'm in Long Beach, I'm coming back.
