This past weekend I was able to celebrate my girlfriends pinning ceremony from Adelphi University at JJ Coopers; from the amazing food, amazing staff, drinks and the sunroof w/ sky view had my family and my girlfriends family in complete awe in this event. Staff even helped me do some last minute decorations which was very sweet of them in asking if they can assist in anyway and I took there offer!! Meant the world and I'm exited for future events at jj's they will forever be apart of this milestone of a party I had to host.
Very lively place, fun atmosphere. There was a party going on in their party room, standing room only at the bar, a Saturday night and I'm sure very busy the weekend before Valentine's Day. Service was good, the waiter was personable and friendly. the food was excellent. Started off with the French onion soup and calamari they offered several different varieties (Buffalo spicy, Asian style and traditional) . I had the special, angel hair pasta with jumbo shrimp and leeks, very different it was very fresh and tasty. Also had the steak tips with mozzarella and sweet potato fries. Drinks were excellent too, I had a gin and tonic which was perfect.
Over the past few years, I’ve started to like JJ Cooper’s more and more. The food is great. Wouldn’t normally go somewhere for “steak night”, but that’s an example of a great meal at a great price. The bartenders make much better cocktails than they used to. There’s very often live music. Great place also, the brunch menu is great.
Loved our maiden visit - first time in this area as well as in this restaurant. Live music was extremely loud and very out of tune - but that opened it up for loud family conversations without worrying about others.
Food was served piping hot and superbly fresh. I went with the smokehouse burger - loved the quality of the meat, and was able to finish only about halfway. Kids loved the penne and the chicken fingers. The Asian marinated skirt steak was superb. The blackened tuna wrap was delicious.
Now that we see this is a fun area to visit - and the food at JJ’s is awesome - would likely visit again!
I have been to JJ Cooper for dinner many times. The food is aways excellent, and the staff is friendly and helpful. You can't go wrong. They also do a great party. My office had our Christmas party there last year. Everyone had a great experience and many have gone back for dinner on their own.
Great vibe, mature crowd, and delicious food. All of the staff are friendly and professional. Whether you sit at the bar or at a table you will receive top notch service. Great taco special on Tuesdays!
Some friends came in from Bermuda. They were staying in Long Beach. My cousin used to live in Long Beach and I asked her where is a great place to go with good food, friendly service drinks, etc. JJ Cooper’s definitely delivered all of these things. It was a little hike for us to get there, but totally worth it. My friends had a great time. The servers, the staff, the food, the bartenders, five stars all around for us.
The food was very fresh. The staff is very friendly and helpful 🙂 The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. Classy type of neighborhood pub feel.
It's always a great experience at this restaurant. Tonight we had the Kung Pao Calamari with the peanuts on the side and their LB Chop Salad along with the Penne & Crumbled Sauasage. Their food always delivers. The live music and ambiance are added bonuses 😁
JJ Coopers is my go to place when somebody is coming to town or we want a good food for dinner. Great menu, specially their salads, smoked burger and skirt stake. Love the quality drinks. The staff is friendly. It’s sometimes when the music is playing is too loud for my taste, but the place is big enough to find a cozy place.
