This place really isn't cheap..... I don't get the comments of 2 thick burgers because they are anything but thick. Four onion rings in the pick 2 sides deal? They weren't crisp and I threw them away anyways... You have to be in the right mood for this kinda cheap food and I guess UK students are because it is usually packed.
Great experience. Recently went there for my first time and had a great time..food was good people were friendly and service was great..will go back soon

Thick burger. I liked this place. It's like an upscale Burger King. The drive thru dynamics kinda concern me on people hitting each other. But other than that I will go here for lunch often. Inexpensive option just off campus. I had a burger, 4 onion rings (a little stingy here) and an order of hush puppies. The burger tastes like real meat not chemical processed pattie. I will be back for some shakes and such.

Very fast service, burgers were great, maybe one of the best around for fast food. Not a fan if the French fries, or the slaw. I will be back , just no fries or slaw next time. Shakes were good too, double drive thru right lane is confusing. Stay in the left side!
Just the BEST!. I used to live in South Carolina and loved Cookout so when I heard it was coming to Lexington (and Frankfort too) I was very excited. As far as fast food joints go, you can't beat Cookout! Over 40 kinds of milkshakes, great burgers, and huge sides all for less money than you'd spend elsewhere. And about their sides, we're not just talking fries or onion rings... try hushpupies, quesadilla, corn dogs, bacon and chicken wraps, etc. and you get to pick two! You won't be disappointed!
The food was amazing and priced very well for the amount of food you get. Not difficult at all to get to if your not familiar with Lexington. We definitely will go back there... The milkshakes are super thick so make sure to get an spoon...
Cookout is one of the best fast food stops with a robust menu at a low price. I recommend the Cajun fries and banana pudding milkshake among their many options. Unfortunately they did get my order wrong, so can't give 5 stars to this location.
Feels like I’m getting more than I pay for here, every time. Fulfilling, backyard meals at a much lower price than expected. Stays open to 3 AM, but recommend going
before midnight to avoid the huge night owl and munchies crowds. It’s near a bunch of college student apartments. When you do go, there are two lanes to order, FYI. Or use only the one. I’ll just use the second one and ‘skip’ ahead, if you don’t.
Cheap, fast, generous portions. On par with other locations. Hard to complain at this price point. Milkshakes are the star, especially watermelon!!
Best food ever. Always fresh always hot and always fast. I’m a super fan. I love they are open late and let me tell you their shakes are supreme!!
