Definitely worth the drive from Louisville for dinner here. Went to meet a friend who was in Lexington from NY and we met here for dinner, food was on point, the server had amazing menu knowledge, and the manager came around and talked to every table actually looking for feedback and constructive criticism. We will be going back and taking fri nds and family, totally worth the 1.5 hour drive from Louisville but make sure you get reservations on a weekend.
Everything we had from appetizers to desserts and everything in between was great. Our waitress was awesome and made the experience even better. I would recommend this place!!!!
Bella Notte wins points on overall apparance, it makes you want to eat there. The menu leans toward burgers though. The food was good and the service was excellent.
My wife and I were visiting Lexington and wanted something different. She came across this restaurant and I looked it up at the website. We were not displeased. Alicia gave us great service and provided good suggestions. The "autumn menu" was very appealing and I ordered the market salad with the roasted chicken. My wife ordered the salmon salad. After two glasses of pinot grigio, we also ordered the pumpkin cake (which was very good). Parking can be difficult as this is right on a major roadway and located in a shopping center, so you don't get the "tucked away, Italian villa" feel, but it's an attractive restaurant. I would recommend this choice to anyone.

Always Great! Go for the Specials. Bella Notte is consistently great. The service really is FANTASTIC. You can tell that the owners are involved in the day-to-day operations.
The Penne Kalamata has been a favorite for years. All of the burgers are good and the fries are one of the exceptions to my no-fried-food rules. Try the tomato basil soup but share it with someone because it is very rich.
This is one of the best Italian fine dining restaurants in town. I go there every few weeks just to try their Grilled Salmon done medium rare.. One of the best in town. Their pasta offerings are nice too. Definitely try their Tiramisu if available. The restaurant is a good place for going on a Friday or Saturday night. Good Ambiance, Good food and Polite Staff.
Cost is slightly on the higher side.

Bella Notte has become a staple of the Lexington Italian food scene, providing some of the most visually appealing, color balanced dishes, that I’ve seen. Bella Notte is located on Nicholasville Road, just past Fayette Mall. Parking is a pain in the ass when it’s busy. Just go across the street into Chuy’s parking lot.
We love Bella Notte! Definitely our favorite Italian place in Lexington. The ambiance is outstanding and the food is delicious. All of their pasta dishes are wonderful, I particularly love their pesto. For occasions when I am not feeling pasta, their Tuscan meatloaf is one of the best dishes I have ever had. Definitely recommend!
Bella Notte is located near a mall with beautiful shrubbery and accents, paired with a perfectly branded and beautiful building dressed to the nines with a traditional rustic vibe ... which made me think it was a chain restaurant. I panicked for the first 10 minutes of arriving for fear that I just wasted a dinner in Lexington on a chain restaurant before I asked our server. After she said they are not a chain, I let out a sigh of relief and realized how impressive it was to have such a cohesive, polished image.
The best Italian restaurant in Lexington! Local ingredients and great customer service! If you don't like Italian try the meat loaf or burger! My favorite restaurant in Lexington!
Absolutely one of my favorite Italian restaurants around! The food is always excellent and I have made reservations for larger groups and they are always prepared for us. The food is delicious and the bread and olive oil dipping spices are a personal favorite.
first off
How can this be rated at a $$$ price point most entrees are 10-20 dollars. That is typical price for an average dinner. I see this with the ratings of cost for restaurants in Lexington a lot. They seem to be rated expensive but even with a side and few drinks I'm spending less than 60 or 70 or even 100 bucks for two people. Not expensive. Have any of you been to San francisco, Italy, cincy Chicago Nyc Atlanta or Miami? The sane $$$ would be a hundred a pop and there are New York City restaurants where you will spend a couple hundred a person for dinner so let's not call something expensive if it's really not . Come on I can spend 20 bucks at Burger King on two people easy....
Started off with table In corner that was cold.asked to be moved and she did promptly to a place under the tree. We had the lasagna and the rigatoni crema With the Parmesan cream sauce and it had sausage and mushrooms cooked in it.
The bread is delicious! They bring Italian bread freshly wrapped to the table, steaming hot, soft and fluffy like a bread marshmallow. They bring you olive oil and a blend of oregano cheese and spices that get mixed in. I asked for butter but got packets of butter instead of real butter downside but oh well.
Also had the cupcake Moscato. This is a sweet but I enjoyed it, it was brought out promptly and was chilled to where it was suppose to be. Had a side salad, could of been better almost no croutons cheese tomatoes or onions and one olive. Could have been presented better and just because it's a side salad doesn't mean it has to be thrown together. Overall was happy and we also got to sit a table underneath the light tree in the middle. It was cool. Service was very well didn't have to wait didn't ever have to ask my server. Got everything I Requested first time without having to ask again never had to remind her she was awesome I forgot your name. Good experience 4.4
Cons
