Overall: 4.6/5 (dine in) The service here is a cut beyond the rest. The owner is super nice and goes around talking to every table. He's pretty attentive to the customers and offered so many things like tea, super spicy chilis, or banchan refills. They also pack your leftovers for you! The personalized service you receive here creates an instant fondness for this restaurant and makes you want to tip very well or become a regular. The owner gave me an apron to wear so I don't spill any food on my white dress!!! For banchans, we got homemade kimchi, seaweed, radish, sausage, and bean sprouts. The kimchi and radish were so delicious we got refills. The seaweed was white and had a crunchy texture so it was fun to eat. The sausage and bean sprouts were okay. I got the super spicy chili as well. The first piece burneddd but the pieces after that weren't too bad. My husband also got a cup of tea which I think is barely tea. It was a great way to wash down the meal. We got the combo plate which includes kalbi, meat jun, and BBQ chicken ($20.95). The meat jun was the best of the three. It was so tender, soft, and delicious - especially when it's "swimming in sauce". This sauce is fantastic on the white rice too! The BBQ chicken wasn't overcooked but also wasn't as juicy as I would have liked it to be. The kalbi was good too and probably my second favorite meat. Only the mac salad was okay. Ja Jang Myeum (black soy bean sauce noodle) + Tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork or chicken) combo ($21.95): The flavors were more Chinese than Korean for these 2 dishes. - When I ordered tangsuyuk at other restaurants, they usually serve the protein - typically pork - coated in the sweet & sour sauce. Here they put the sauce on the side to dip. Their sauce is THICK and has pieces of random fruit (pineapple) or vegetables (bell pepper, wood ear mushroom) in it. For this dish, I recommend eating the protein with the sauce together. We got pork which was dry inside the batter and tasted pretty bland by itself. I would have also liked the batter to be a bit crispier. - The ja jang myuem tasted different than what I was expecting and didn't really bring out the flavors of the ingredients. I barely tasted the meat or onions. They also give you a side of raw onions, pickled radish, and more of the black bean sauce which is suppose to be more for balancing out the heavy dish but it did more for me by giving a nice contrast in flavor and heat profiles. I also topped off the ja jang myuem with gochugaru chili flakes and ate it with the banchans to give it more flavor. The noodles, however, were fresh and really good!

I’m a Korean foodie who grew up in K-town Los Angeles. And I can say this place is legit. A hidden gem. No, this is not a fancy eatery. It’s just unpretentious delicious food, in a mom and pop vibe. What I had: Korean cold noodle (naengmyeon 물냉면) They make their broth in house, and it was good. The only play other place in Vegas that has a slight edge: Daeho (better presentation, and a bit more ingredients, but more expensive) Service was great; the owners genuinely want you to enjoy the food. You can tell they are passionate about the quality. They told me to come back to check out their black bean noodles Jajangmyeon (자장면), stating that they make their own noodles and sauce from scratch (wow). Would I come back here again? Absolutely yes. =================== My rating system: 5 stars: Special - as good as it gets for this niche. 4 stars: Great, I'm happy - I'll be back. 3 stars: Ok/average, I've had much better 2 stars: Something was off. 1 stars: Avoid/danger/regret, or I want my time and money back.

We order 1 combo galbi & cold noodle, the noodle was very big enough for 2 pp. it was so good. Then we order 1 more sweet & sour pork, we have to take away half because too many. I love the food and understand why it got high rating. The owner was very friendly. The price is good for value. 100% recommend.

Super friendly owners and service. I like to come here when I'm really hungry and craving Hawaiian style Korean food. They give you banchan with your meal...bonus! The barbecue chicken could use more flavor but everything else tastes good.

I didn't know what to expect when coming here because it was my first time. The food was delicious. We had Combo Plate and I had Bi Bim Kook Soo and lastly kimchi soba noodles. Let me just say my friend's dish was very fresh and smelled amazing. The side dishes were really good. My favorite was the Fresh kimchi! The ingredients used are fresh, the seasonings are perfect, the service was great. Very friendly and helpful server. Will definitely come here again with my wife for another date. Thank you, Island Style!

The food was soooooo good, I forgot to take pictures! Husband and I both got the meat jun and cleaned our plates out! Asked aunty for some spicy sauce to go with my meat jun and she whipped up special sauce for me. Definitely coming back to try other dishes and just enjoy a good meal with wonderful servers! So glad to find this place!

I loved it here! I ordered the jjajangmyeon + tangsuyok (pork) combo and I loved it! They treated me like a regular even when it was my first time. The sauce was perfect, it was definitely all homemade. They were all so nice. It was a homey feel, even when I was eating alone. I didn't have cash on me to leave a tip (i'm sorry 😭) and I saw that it wasn't taken off my card (yet/either?)-- so, rest assured I'm definitely coming back! ❤️ This is gonna be my go to now. **I wasn't able to take a photo of the jjajangmyeon because the moment it arrived I just started eating it. 🙃 they give you a bottle of water and even boricha (my favorite). 🥲 I'm one happy customer.

My wife and I are from Hawaii and Korea, respectively. Very authentic and delicious. I had the kalbi, which included rice and Mac salad… compared favorably to Rainbow Drive-in in Oahu. Wife had dolsot bibimbob. She loved it. Highly recommend.

Visited based on lots of online recommendations, and did not disappoint! A very friendly greeting from the proprietor started things out on an excellent note. I ordered two Spam musubis and a bowl of naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles); while they are not the absolute best that I have ever tasted (coming from Los Angeles, I am spoiled when it comes to Korean food quality), they are still very good. Normally a place that does three different cuisines (in this case, Hawaiian, Korean, and Chinese-Korean) would be a jack of all trades, master of none. However, Island Style, at least as far as I can tell, is excellent! I'll be happy to return in the future - most likely to try some of the Chinese-Korean items.

Best food in Vegas . I absolutely loved it so much I when the food came I forgot to take a picture. Serving size so big you can eat there and have enough for later. The owner was super friendly. I would go back her every week if I could .
