Amazing experience! Great food and some of the best service I have ever had. We had a dinner party of 16 and everything was perfect! My only complaint was the servings were big and I had no room for dessert!
My All Time Favorite. This restaurant has the best service of any I have ever been to.
Wonderful Food, Superb Wines, Attentive Service, Very Romantic Atmosphere - Five Stars. Stone Crabs are a 'must try'.
Top Notch. The restaurant is small but elegantly decorated and very dimly lit. The food is simply exquisite, with great attention to detail. I recommend the tomato soup, a specialty, and the best I've ever had. The most impressive aspect of the place is the service, which exceeded my expectations. The prices are very steep, but appropriate for this type of dining experience.
This is the best restaurant in Las Vegas , bar none. Everything on the menu is outstanding and the service is 2nd to none !
This is not a restaurant it is a dining EXPERIENCE. Hubs and I went for anniversary. PERFECT evening. They accomodated our table request on reservation. (I have a service dog, a REAL ONE) all servers knew he was under table. Were so cautious. I told them he was in middle and did not need to be concerned moving around table. The service amazing, the food to die! The atmosphere was an old classic glamorous setting. I highly recommend! Also no small screaming children. Required proper attire. That night, chef had a stuffed mushrooms appetizer, so amazing I cant even explain to do it justice. Will return. Do not be consumed by entree prices. What is offered in addition to service to what you order is beyond and makes it worth every penny!
Classy classy classy. Truly a gem in Las Vegas. If you want first class service great food and an intimate atmosphere this is the place. Pricey but 100% worth it. From the moment you walk in expect to be taken care of, great food, exceptional service from start to finish
Can't say enough about this place. It's worth every penny. Good food, nice atmosphere and great service. TOP NOTCH.
Michael’s Gourmet Room has to be one of the premier restaurants in all of Las Vegas. Hidden in the South Pointe Casino you will find old school Las Vegas with the elegance, exceptional service and a variety of food that will satisfy anyone’s palette. Sitting in this beautiful restaurant looking at the beautiful stained glass skylight you just can’t imagine that outside those walls is a hectic casino. First of all the atmosphere is quiet and very pleasant for conversation as you wait in anticipation of what is to come. Our head waiter Frank and his crew were amazing. They knew what you wanted as soon as you mentioned it. Frank knows the menu and all deserts in detail so when you ask any questions he’s got the answers. The appetizers along with the wine at the beginning let’s you know that what’s to come will be phenomenal. My wife and I shared the French Onion Soup and it was served in two separate bowls that looked like a full regular order. They have a good variety of salads and once again we shared a salad and it came in two separate servings that looked like their normal serving. The Filet Mignon was huge and it just melted in your mouth. My wife just loved her Chicken dish. The deserts were very tasty. Cherries Jubilee and the Crème brulee were as good as they looked. Frank and his crew completed our evening with a complimentary fruit tray with apples and pears and also a cold chocolate dipped fruit tray. If you are looking for a very special experience make sure you make your reservations here at Michael’s you won’t be disappointed.
Michael's is without question one of the best restaurants in LV. Dining here is a truly wonderful experience. The service is absolutely impeccable. The ambiance is elegant, intimate, and very private. They serve classic dishes to perfection with many tableside preparations and an incredible attention to detail and personalized service. This place is a gem, don't miss it. Within a city that is constantly reinventing itself, Michael's is an icon of old school elegance. It is the perfect place for a special occasion for a couple or small group.
Some dessert cart photos...
We had no idea what to expect of this place when we decided to walk in, but it was a good dining experience, for sure.
The food was excellent. The crab cakes with housemate tartar sauce was my wife's favorite thing (and I really enjoyed it as well). The scallops were delicious and the escargot was definitely tasty.
We also really enjoyed the French onion soup.
We probably should have stopped at the appetizers, because we were pretty full after all that. However, we wanted to try some things out, and we got the rack of lamb (which was great). That was probably all we needed to order as it was a full meal complete with side veggies and a good portion of lamb for each person.
Pricing looks steep at first, but it really isn't much different than any other steakhouse when portions and sides are considered.
We spent around $430 (including tip and taxes), but we ordered about 3x more than two people normally would.
If we came back, we might get crab cakes, French onion soup and a chicken or steak main course each.
Great service as well. It was a bit confusing at first though.
The one and only thing I would say may be better is if they ditched the veggie platter, rye bread and crackers at the start and swapped them for a fresh baguette with butter or some type of croissant. The veggies were mostly pickled and pretty unnecessary, in my opinion.
Overall, we had a great night out.
Top notch service. Best in Vegas. Food was on point. I recommend everything except the seafood tower, it's not worth it

On Sunday, 19 JUN 23. My wife and I celebrated our 35 anniversary at the Michael's South Point Casino. I can not say in words how great the service we received during our dining experience was. This will eventually be a lost art due to cultural changes and those who do not understand the art of service and food preparation. Our head waiter was one of the most experienced in the industry. His patience and teaching skills to the other waiters and those in training were impeccable. I have dined at a few restaurants of this caliber, and this one exceeded those by light years. Our entrees were prepared to order. The lamb and steak were cooked to perfect, and we both feel lucky to have the pleasure to experience this. If you want to understand the art of dining and service, please dress to the hilt as a sign of respect to this art and experience Michael's.
