I find B&Q quite pricey for a DIY and you can't always get what you want either. It's just convenient and does have a wide range of DIY fixtures and fittings,,,, just not everything.
The staff are always helpful and friendly and most will go out of their way to help you. They seem to be more on the older side, so you're dealing with wisdom as well as experience.
Went with my partner to buy some decorative slate for our garden. They had the 1 we was looking for and the price was great 3 for £26 so couldn't moan at all. Until we got home and realized that we got the wrong colour 🤣 so had to go back the next day and exchange it for the right colour 😜
Went to pick up a drill and a few bits this morning. Was greeted by a really nice guy in the entrance who asked how I was and did I know where to go, I didn't so the guy kindly directed me, never come across this in B&Q but was really helpful and a nice touch. Then got to the checkout and a kind girl told me about the clubcard and that I could get £5 off my shopping! Thoroughly pleasant experience and really kind, helpful staff, 10/10.
Great range of stock, they only had 3 of the hooks I wanted though. The queues at the manned tills was a bit long, but they did put another member of staff on as we were being served. They are running a promotion at the moment to join the B&Q CLUB it is free and you get a £5 voucher when you spend £30 or more in one transaction and you get a discount on purchases with your card, you need to download an app, I joined and we saved about £10 in total. I cannot fault that, I only found out about it because I receive emails from them.
Busy today as it was Bank Holiday Monday. Huge carpark, easy to find what we needed as clearly displayed on posters throughout the store. Tills were fast. Great experience
Got everything we needed, Anna on the till was very pleasant and I like that there are tills that are manned I retired a few years ago and I don't see why I should do someone's job for them but I suppose all big businesses like the free labour.
Great service. 2 very helpful and polite young men helped me today. One, Jamie, advised me on sand and cement, loaded it on a flat trolley and took it to checkout. Second young man, sorry don't know your name, wheeled the trolley to my car and loaded it up. Cheers lads made an old lady very happy!
