#TajMahal is #Indian #Pakistani cuisine. The key to their their success is understanding their customers’ taste. Their #SeekhKabab may not be traditional seekh kabab of #Pakistan but they are juicy and not too hot. #TandoriNaan was nicely done. The setup is neat and clean. All meat is #halal.

I love this restaurant! I have been here multiple times over the years and always have a great experience. The food is delicious - the buffet has some good options and at a reasonable price. I particularly enjoy those sauteed green beans and that yummy spinach dish at the buffet. But, really, everything here is great - so make sure you try everything!
Here at Mckonly's Garage Inc. we have monthly lunch meetings. With the meeting we let the different members of our team take turn picking where lunch comes from. The choice this time was Taj Mahal and only the one person had eaten there prior. People were skeptical about the choice. We ordered online, had some issues with some items not being on the menu as well as you can not use it unless it is during hours of operations.
Everyone found something that they wanted to try, got the food with no issues and found the Front End staff at the Taj Mahal looking sharp in their clothes. Food got back to the shop and was all correct and looked delicious. Once sorted we dug in and were all impressed by the flavor of it all. The meat was all tender and heard a comments like "we will have to go there again".
Would recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be coming back again. Thank You for a Great Meal!
Such a lovely restaurant that I was only finally able to eat at this past week! I would definitely recommend coming here for delicious, authentic Indian cuisine. Their Monday night buffets are just $15 for all you can eat plus naan (by request). Great deal! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Decor/ambiance is very relaxing. I would come back!
If you want your tastes buds to enjoy a wide variety of bursts of spices and flavors, this is the place to go! You are greeted with a pleasant smile and great customer service as soon as you walk in and brought right to a table. We selected the buffet option however took a menu also to try things that are not offered in the buffet. The buffet alone is amazing and everything tastes fresh which is a plus! We got some appetizers from the regular menu that just put everything over the top! They have amazing mango lassi drinks that you order separately and delightful Indian desserts that melt in your mouth! The service was amazing from start to finish and the place was very clean. Thank you for everything and can not wait to be back!
Have been to the Taj Mahal numerous times. Each time the food has been excellent. Now up to a 10 on the heat scale. The heat is a great whole mouth heat.
Some reviews that have over exaggerated with the lack of stars based on the the greeting of the host isn’t total inaccurate but at the same time do not merit a sub 3 star review. At times remembering a customer should not see a lack of energy is very important.
Overall I really like this place and will continue to support their business! Enjoy!!!!!
This may not be the most reliable review coming from someone who loves Indian food, but the Taj Mahal is definitely the best Indian Restaurant in Lancaster.
The things I appreciate the most are that their pickup counter is lightning fast, their naan is the perfect consistency of doughy and crispy, and they don’t water down or whitewash their spice levels.
Takeout, dine-in, it doesn’t matter. If you’re looking for fantastic Indian food…this is the place to go!!
A great place to get authentic Indian food right off of Rohrerstown Road. The staff is super friendly and attentive. I usually stick with Tikka Masala or Curry, but switched it up and got the Jal-Freji. It was very flavorful and got my veggies in lol. The naan bread is out of this world and I think I could have been satisfied just eating that for my meal.
Taj Mahal is always a wonderful experience! The food is so flavorful and delicious. When we were there, there was live sitar music, which provides a nice ambiance. I order the Chicken Shami Korma, which I enjoyed.
Another thing that is nice is that they let you select your spice level. Indian cuisine is know for it's spiciness but don't let that scare you off. They'll make it mild if that's what you want. Also, don't forget to try at least one of their naan breads while your there.
A great local spot for Indian cuisine. They have stood the test of time and are popular for take out.
The spiced tea was so good. I highly recommend.
I ordered the lentil soup, but the soup was a bit bland compared to others I’ve had. We had pakora to share, and they had fantastic side sauces. But the pakora were a little soggy and thick.
I ordered the vegan Vegetable Tandoori which was fantastic. It was a huge portion. It lasted me for three meals. My husband ordered a vindaloo dish he enjoyed very much.
It was a Saturday night and they had a live sitar player.
If you want take out on Friday or Saturday, make sure you call way ahead of time. They had so many take out orders.
Service is very friendly. The food is well done. It’s a great place, but I would say it took a long time for us to order. And the ambiance is family friendly. It’s brightly lit and very busy.
They mark all the vegan dishes. I only wish they’d mark the breads that are vegan or have one vegan bread option.
