Walked in and was seated right away! Great food- I got the Lemon Ricotta pancakes and they were very satisfying. Light, fluffy and a crisp edge! The flavor itself was awesome reminded me of home cooked food. The coffee was incredibly delicious- infused with cinnamon (Latin American style) and don’t worry, the refills kept comin! This place is perfectly quaint and unpretentious. It seems to be a small team, but the service was 12/10!! Will be back to try more!
Service was great, coffee is excellent with the added cinnamon but not overdone, and the 4 different dishes we had were great. We were only in town for the week and ended up eating here twice. It's cozy and can fill up quickly but we loved it!

We had the torta, egg & pesto and salmon sandwich their regular drip and an americano because I'm not into the cinnamon in my coffee, which means no refills. Everyone enjoyed the food, i understand the salmon was a bit overcooked but still good. Great service, with a smile. It's BYOB!!
A cozy cafe to read and work. I went for a brunch and being vegetarian I could only have hibiscus enchiladas but it was worth it. Staff was really nice and they were cognizant about my dietary restrictions. everything was really nice. Highly recommend
Esencia is one of the best breakfast and lunch spots in east Lakeview. The food is delicious, the dining area is bright and light, and the service is polite and warm.
(Especially worth noting: housemade baked goods, cinnamon-infused coffee, and the cubana sandwich)
Great service. Their outdoor patio is nice. I think the poblano eggs could specier, but overall good taste. The biscuits were good as well.
A wonderful local corner eatery. Latinex inspired dishes. Everything was so full of flavor and so fresh. Service was impeccable even with our little baby and our dietary needs. Highly recommended.
