I loved the dinner cruise, it was such a fantastic time, the service was great and the food was good The only complaint I have is that the dinner knives weren’t sharp enough to cut through the prime rib...which really isn’t much to complain about, considering the lake/mountain views and the fun had by all!
Had an absolutely beautiful cruise on Lake George. My family and I took the 11:30AM tour on 08/23/18 aboard the Minnie-Ha-Ha and we all had a wonderful time! Our captain was very informative, personable, and very funny. My 2 year old especially loved spending most of his time checking out the engine room. I would 100% recommend to anyone, and I will absolutely be back.
So much fun! The kids enjoyed the sights and the ride! The lake view is gorgeous! We did the 1 hour cruise and it was the perfect amount of time with young kids.
An enjoyable 50 minute ride on Lake George. I recommend arriving 30 minutes early to give yourself enough time to find parking and walk over. I also recommend buying your tickets online.
We did the dinner cruise. The atmosphere was very relaxing, the food was great, the views were fantastic and the music was very entertaining. We truly enjoyed ourselves.
2nd year in a row our family took the dinner cruise. It’s a buffet style dinner, and the food is fine, but this is more of a fun experience on the lake, including music and dancing, with full bar service. The cruise at sunset is really beautiful and a great way to learn about Lake George as you are provided with some history as you ride about 10 miles up to Bolton Landing area. It’s a great evening out with family. Staff on the cruise are attentive and friendly. Highly recommended. 👍👍
Took two cruises while we were in Lake George, both with the Steamboat Company.
1st: Taco Tuesday dinner cruise on the Mohican. Overall, a great experience and would likely do again. Tacos are your typical “white people taco night” fare, but totally edible, and cruise was fun for all of us. Don’t expect high quality food, but again - edible, and it’s more about the experience anyway. Only complain is table set up. They need about one less table per row to make it comfortable. Crammed tables made getting in and out difficult. Considering it’s a buffet and cruise where people want to go to the decks, ease of movement is paramount for the experience, and I would rather pay $5 more per person to move around better with fewer people.
2nd: Pirate cruise on the Minnehaha. Kids had fun, captains jokes were fun. Enjoyed the “canon fights” but could use a pirate or two roaming around for pictures with kids or general hijinks. Again, nice cruise boat, and we had fun, but could be better.
This, overall experience on each was 4 stars, and I’d return for sure, but some improvements would make experience better.
Enjoyed the Dinner Cruise very much! The ship was clean and is in great condition for its age. The staff was very friendly and drink service was very good. The food is typical of buffet style food(3/5).The Prime Rib was pretty good, (4/5). The experience, views, entertainment is the real star of the show. I would definitely do this again!
Wonderful time, inexpensive. We were on a beautiful boat (The Mini ha ha) looking at beautiful views. I recommend the 1- 1.5 hour tour. There is a bar on the boat, the boat itself has three levels. Check it out 🙂
