I honestly only went to Cannon Mine a few times in the 3 years that I lived in Lafayette BUT one of the times my husband and I found an advertisement for the condo we ended up living in for those 3 years on the back bulletin board and the other time I got coffee with a friend the day before she moved far away and I haven't been able to see her since. So, while those experiences are, I suppose, not directly related to the service or quality of the coffee (both of which are great, btw), I still wanted to write this review because there is no doubt that Cannon Mine is a special place and important to the Lafayette community. I'm grateful for them and hope that anybody who reads this chooses to spend their money there :)
This coffee shop has an own-style look. Personnel was friendly. Coffee was fine indeed. It has a peaceful feel in the morning. A feeling of calm. Not only can you enjoy the coffee, but after you've had the caffeine blast, you can walk the strip to see all of the art.
This coffee shop has a feel of its own style. Staff was friendly. Coffee was really good. In the morning it has a quiet feel. A relaxed feeling. Not only can you enjoy the coffee, but once you have the burst of caffeine, you can walk the strip to look at all the art. Reading other reviews, not only is it a relaxed coffee shop in the morning but a fun atmosphere in the evening. If I lived closer, this place would be my go-to coffee shop for the morning wake up and start my day. If you are in Lafayette in the morning, this would a top location to stop by.
I recommend this place. This place is a nice break from the more crowded and pretentious places you encounter in Boulder and the other L-Towns. I like Boulder, Louisville, Lyons and Longmont, but it's nice to go someplace where other working class people are more likely to congregate like Lafayette. The coffee in this place is good and they have great service. The food offerings are just okay and a bit limited in range, but, though a pedestrian offering, they do sell Nutter Butter cookies which is a personal favorite which goes superbly with coffee. Never underestimate Nutter Butter people! The building and the rooms in it are pleasant with opportunities to find small quiet spaces to read, talk and play games with friends and family. Speaking of reading and games, they appear to provide both books to read and games to play for those interested.
Delightful local coffee shop with sooo many choices. Three kinds of Chai, smoothies, and treats. Stop in and become a regular.
Great cappuccino and macchiato. The pastries are good as well. Really like the back room to work in.
Great coffee. Nice pastries. Diabetic friendly options. Lots of tables for laptops. Very laid back. Located in the heart of old town. Best coffeehouse in Lafayette. Free Wifi. Open mic night. Beer served as well.
Great place to visit. Plenty of drink options. Inside/outside seating. Chairs and comfy couches.
