Had a great lunch here. We were personally waited on by Cheryl, the owner, who offered strong recommendations and shared some great stories. Really fun atmosphere with '60s music posters on all surfaces. Check it out.
A hidden gem! With over 70 sandwiches it was hard to pick, but I settled for the Mystical Marvin and it was delicious!
Go for the sandwiches. Stay for the experience. I had an AMAZING! roast beef sandwich with a variety of flavors. Every bite was an adventure. Better yet, was the conversation and the environment. It didn't feel so much like eating in a sandwich shop as it did like kicking it in your good friend's house swapping rock and roll stories and they made you a killer sandwich. It's a bit spendier than Subway. But you'll enjoy it much, much, more!
The best sandwich shop in San Diego. Once you try it, you won’t be going anywhere else for sandwiches and if you do you will wish you had not wasted your money on a dry sandwich. One day, I went in for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. So yea, it is that good! 😍😍😍
This place is an absolute must try! They have a wide selection of sandwiches to choose from (options that would please even the pickiest of eaters!) including many vegetarian options. The sandwiches are freshly made with the perfect amount of ingredients and the perfect combination of flavors. Make sure you introduce yourself to the owner, she is a sweet heart!
My brother, sister-in-law, and I stumbled across this while browsing for a sandwich place near the Zoo, and we were not disappointed. Truly one of the best experiences I've had in any restaurant, with a lovely/engaging owner to boot. If all that wasn't enough, they only use non-GMO ingredients, and have plenty of options for vegetarians/vegans. If I weren't leaving San Diego, I'd most definitely be a regular. 10s across the board.
The owner here is really cool and talked with our group the whole time. He had stories and plenty to look at on the walls which made for an interesting lunch. What was more interesting was the names of his sandwiches, which were damn good for the price. Kinda reminded me of a home made sandwich but one I would never have all the ingredients for or the patience to make.
One of my fav sandwich shops...and I nearly LIVE on sandwiches. Huge selection on the menu board (I've tried over a half-dozen of them) plus a few unique & spicy side-salads...some with habanero if you dare. If you like spicy there's several made-to-order meals for you. Oh, if spicy isn't your thing there are about 50 others sandwiches on the menu so for sure there's more than a few perfect matches for everyone. Don't miss.
This place is awesome. The sandwiches and subs are great and there's always great music playing. They stack the meat high on every sandwich and there's always good conversation about bands and classic rock. This is one of the best places to grab a quick lunch during the week.
Sought out the Notary and wound up getting a Hendrix sandwich, light on the wasabi on wheat bread. It was the best sandwich I ever had. My companion totally enjoyed his as well and said it was worth every penny. When I return to San Diego, I will be getting another Hendrix.
