I've eaten here several times and have never been disappointed! Delicious food in large quantities, the "meatloaf" is wonderful!
I enjoy coming to this place when I'm in town. It's nice to have actual Nihonjin running a Japanese restaurant. The food is good and I enjoy the atmosphere it's relaxed and they have ichiban on tap. Good beer. And Masayoshi cares about service. I look forward to it when I'm in Knoxville
Hands down the best Japanese in town. I have been going there since I was a small child and even though it has changed its name many times, it remain the best in town. If you want quality and quantity it can't be beat. The sushi is also good and priced a lot better then their competition.
This is my favorite restaurant of all time! I have ate everywhere in the Knoxville area and this is by far the best. I'm not huge on sushi, but their hibachi is the best I've ever had. The food is impeccable and the service is good. It could use a little updating but with food that god, I could care what the rest of it looks like. A little pricey but definitely worth it!
My family and I love to eat here. In all I would recommend it. Pros: Food is amazing. Cons: Price. Service always depends on who you get.
Great Food and Great Service. Excellent rice, the best at any Japanese steakhouse, and great chef's to cook for you. Patrick is the best one there and the Shogun dinner is the best! Great sushi, although Wasabi on Lovell Road is better in this area but I love dining here and recommend everyone do the same. Superb Mustard Sauce and Shrimp Sauce is even better, best ever. The decor needs an update but the food is always excellent!
Great sushi. This place serves amazing sushi, and with amazing sushi comes a pretty shocking price for those not used to it. Fortunately, Misaki's sushi is half priced Monday through Thursday, so if you're a broke college student like me you can still get all the benefits of greatly prepared sushi without the price tag. The servers are kind and courteous, and the decor is nice enough for date-nights, but still down-to-earth so you don't feel too drab when dining in jeans. My boyfriend and I try to come to Misaki's as much as possible and absolutely love it. Definitely try the shrimp tempura roll or the eel roll! It's our favorite.
Excellent food with very large portions. Sushi was fresh and tasty. Hibachi Chef and entire wait staff were friendly and helpful. I give them five stars!
LOVE it!. I love the hibachi here! Have tried a few more around this area and nothing compares to the food here! It is always sooooo good! They also have the best shrimp sauce! I always get the steak, shrimp, and chicken, and I am able to make it last 3 meals!
Amazing sushi and amazing sushi chef. I have not had the hibachi however I highly recommend the sushi.
This is by far the best Hibachi in Knoxville. Actually it's the best I have ever had. Everything is fresh and well seasoned. The sauces are delicious and the Ginger salad dressing is incredible.
Superb !!. This restaurant has been here for years. They know how to cook a great meal. Great customer service and the chefs are hilarious. And the sushi, its as authentic as you can get. I've been to Japan several times and easily tell the difference between improper sushi and the best.
We all ordered the grouper. They do such a good job cooking it. It's definitely the best Japanese in town
From reservation to check, this place dotted every "I" and crossed every "T". We were promptly greeted upon arrival. We were seated in an awesome room with privacy (didn't ask for it, just received it). Ordering was prompt, didn't have to wait very long for our chef Jon to arrive. The waitress throughout the meal was very tentative, didn't have to once ask for a refill -she was on point with it.
Onto the food. My God, the portions are just insanity. Be hungry or well prepared to take another full meal home with you for the next day. I've eaten at many hibachi restaurants, and this one takes the cake on portion generosity. The entire world experience was amazing. I will 100% be returning in the near future! Ask for Jon, extremely personable chef that will keep you entertained.

Great food and atmosphere. Hibachi restaurant. The fried rice has sesame seeds added instead of eggs and tastes great. Recommend considering this place if you are looking for Asian food in West Knoxville. Also right off the interstate.

What can I say other than, wow! I don't believe 5 stars does this place justice. The atmosphere is incredible. Traditional Japanese setting at it's best! Some of the greatest Japanese food I have ever had. Extremely generous portions as well. The chef Joe was very entertaining! He had a fantastic personality! I can't find one thing to complain about. Bare in mind, this is not a cheap restaurant. But the quality and the quantity for the price cannot be beat! If you're looking for a top notch Japanese steak house, look no further!
We just found out that they are permanently closing as of tonight and I would have been there if I'd known in time to make it there. I've been a regular since it first opened. Every graduation, birthday, anniversary and just because for 3 generations has been here. It will be missed.
Since you guys are closing, do you mind telling me exactly what was in your seasoning and hot/shrimp sauces? I've come close at home but it's never been as good?
