This place is great!
Me and my life-partner Daniel Africanwater LOVES this place! It has tremendous customer service, also the eggs feel inspired and unique! It has the three things a valued customer needs: the ned
Wonderful place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The homemade bread is amazing. Highly recommend Pepe's to anyone traveling to Key West and looking for some amazing food. Looking forward to eating there again on our next trip to the islands.
Great little place for breakfast! I had the eggs Benedict and an order of the corned beef hash. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the corned beef hash may have been the best I've never had. The bloody Mary's were standard, but still very tasty. Highly recommend!!
Great local hangout, serving an excellent and affordable breakfast. Purportedly the oldest restaurant in Key West, having been in business since 1909. Service is outstanding. Open air seating. We must come back for lunch....
It is worth the walk to eat here. The steak sandwich is exceptional. They also have a nice selection of hot sauce on the table. I would also recommend it for breakfast.
Breakfast @ Pepe's. Our first visit to this KW landmark. We had the French toast, fresh squeezed orange juice, a bowl of granola with yogurt and fresh fruit, plus two cups of hot lipton tea. The fruit and orange juice were excellent but the prices were steep at $28 for two of us before the tip. Service was about like Dennys. A neat island atmosphere but be ready to reach for your wallet.
Breakfast was good, love their home made bread, and the sauce in the omelet was superb. Would recommend to anyone going to the keys looking for good home cooking.
This is the best breakfast you will get in Key West. Come several times during our trips to KW. Food is always on point, service is usually good too.
If you're not sure which baked oyster style to try, they offer a sampler. Rudy, florentine and Mexican. All are good, but Rudy is the best! Black bean soup had a great "cooked all day" flavor.
Went here for dessert only. Best coconut cream pie I've ever had. My husband got the Key Lime pie. Both were outstanding. Can't speak for the other dishes but they looked good. Server was just fine. I'd go back.
Went here a couple of times while visiting Key West. This restaurant is definitely a hidden jewel in Key West. Christine was our server and she did an excellent job! We had a great dining experience. I like the variety of items that they have for dinner. There is something for everyone at this place. We also came here for breakfast as well and we were very pleased. We will definitely be back the next time we visit Key West! Highly recommended restaurant!
This is a difficult review to write. The serving staff was amazing...friendly & helpful...just great. However, the kitchen completely fell down on the job...very inconsistent quality. I took 22 people to dine and many found their meal sub-par. I really don't think this establishment should accept that size groups as they just can't get the job done. For a group of 4, I'm sure they are awesome.
We had the fish Rueben sandwich. Excellent!!! Highly recommend. Their pulled pork was tasty but the Rueben was exceptional. We also had the smoked fish dip. Very good. The staff were friendly and helpful.
After having had this place recommended several times over several years (and it's been 6 yrs since we were last in Key West for more than a day) we decided to check this place out. I wish I could say we were wowed, but that was not the case.
This place has a long and rich history and the atmosphere is pretty cool. I experienced a nostalgic moment when I saw the phone booth sitting in the corner.
We went at lunchtime. My spouse ordered the black bean soup, which she said was OK, but lacking flavor. We shared a smoked fish dip, which was moist & flavorful, but not the best we've had this trip. The crackers that were served with the dip were either starting to go stale or had been sitting out in the humidity too long. I had the blackened fish sandwich with the German fried potatoes. The fish was cooked perfectly. The lettuce, tomatoes, & onion on the sandwich were fresh, as well as the kaiser roll on which it was all served. I only wish the fish filet was a little bigger. Their German fried potatoes (home fries cooked with onions & peppers) were very tasty & went nicely with my sandwich. I would give this place another try.
We really enjoyed this quaint little place for dining on our Key West trip. It had just the right variety for the 5 of us to pick what we wanted. There was no wait and we sat close to the door and fan which was perfect for my husband with one leg. We tried some new dishes we never tried before like the fish dip, Pork chop smothered steak, and delicious blackened fish sandwich, all were delicious! Great service and one of our favorite places while there in town. The prices were great too!
Yes! Yes! Yes! Food is so delicious and the history of this place is so effing cool. I loved the booth we sat at it had a frame with Goldie Hawn little note and autograph. I thought the frames, pictures, decor was all really really cool. I'm a history need, love seeing all the transitioning over time from 1909 until now totally cool. Anyway I got their turkey club with macaroni salad YUMMY...... my wife got their chicken sammich with melted cheddar and she ate all of it which RARELY happens so again YUMMY. Pepe was highly recommended and so glad we got the chance to eat there. Definitely go and definitely get some food.
Stopped in to eat here as had read good reviews about the Key Lime Pie and it did not disappoint. Was our first taste of Key lime pie after just arriving in the Keys and it set the bar. So creamy and just the right mix of tart & sweet. Blackened snapper sandwich was fresh & tasty. Be careful though as I found a couple bones. Service was good and everything else we ordered was tasty.
Wow, so glad we stopped in. It's a small place with big taste. The pineapple-blackberry, candied walnut French toast wasn't breakfast....it was dessert! Sooooo good. The egg-chorizo-potato tacos were oh so good as well.
I’m really around 3 1/2 stars! This is usually one of our favorites for dinner when we are in town. We love the atmosphere and the food has always been so good and a great dining experience! This time was not so great! I ordered a seafood trio special (fish, shrimp & scallops), the shrimp and scallops were good, the fish was ok! My husband ordered the blackened shrimp dinner. His shrimp were good, but his potato was Luke warm and The broccoli on both mine and my husbands dinner was cold and undercooked. We were seated at a high top in the bar and the bartender was our server! She was nice, but obviously over loaded with making drinks and waiting tables. Never came back to refill drinks or see if we needed anything.we watched one couple never get waited on and got up and left. Hoping this was just an off night for Pepe’s! We will try again!
Pepes is a wonderful little Cafe restaurant. There breakfasts are wonderful and the oysters are Amazingly Delicious.
