We found out about this place after receiving a coupon in the mail. We live in Winston, but decided to try something new, and went for it. Oh-my-God! This is the cleanest, classiest, and most upscale Mexican restaurant we have ever seen. The waiting staff wears dress shirts and ties, the booths are very elegant, and the tables are spaced in a manner that gives you decent privacy. The menu had so many selections that it was difficult to choose from. Their chips and salsa were the best we have ever tried. Our family of 6 had the carnitas, fajita Chihuahua, arroz con pollo, and steak with chorizo. The food came very quickly and everything was cooked to perfection. Our waitress was great, checked on us regularly and gave great tips regarding the food and portion sizes. The restroom was spotless as well. At the end of the meal, the manager (or owner, not sure) came to check if everything was good. They honored the discount coupon without any issues. Prices are a bit higher than what you would pay on the average, but then - everything here was ABOVE average. I think we got Mexican food redefined. Will be visiting again without hesitation. Amazing place!

The décor is gorgeous! The large wall mural of Frida Kahlo was exquisite. All of the artwork is something to behold. The bar area is beautifully done.
The wait staff were very attentive. The horchata (rice drink) was good. The chile poblano was very tasty but full of seeds. The rice and beans were delicious. The salsa was outstanding.
The service was great. The food and the dessert was great. We love their queso. The steak fajitas are awesome. We will be going back to eat there. I would recommend this place everything we tried was great. My wife also loves the Margaritas there. They have a lot of different stuff to choose from.
I really like this place! the inside decor was great so the atmosphere is wonderfully done! Very kind, quick and efficient service too… their drinks are large and delicious their food was also quick to order and correct! I love their queso and their hot salsa!! Definitely going back!
Frida’s is a unique restaurant right off Salem Parkway with outdoor & indoor seating. Indoor at bat, or 2 different dining rooms.

Fridas Mexican Cantina is almost like a Kernersville landmark on Hwy 66 and I would say is not because the restaurant is right across the highway.....it is because of its delicious food and warm friendly customer service. They have an excellent menu to cater both vegetarians as well as non-vegetarians. I would highly recommend to try one of their margaritas.....BEST IN TOWN. My favorite is the Jalapeño Cucumber margarita. If you order guacamole, someone will bring a small cart to your table and make fresh guacamole right in front of you.
Andrea is the best server in that restaurant. She listens and takes care of all your requests. She is so attentive that without asking she will get us extra napkins since we hv small kids and extra cups/bowls. Her energy is contagious and always serves you with a smile and positive attitude.
This is a dine in restaurant so when you walk in, the host will seat you at the assigned table. Parking can be a pain sometimes and you may have to park a little further out especially during prom nights. A very clean restaurant and furniture are all made in Mexico....so they are ornate and pretty solid.
The food was so good everything was very tasty. (Tacos, grill chicken, the sauces) The service is very good and friendly
Had an incredible veggie burrito with queso. I recommend trying this Is very flavourful dish.
