Huge portions — 3-giant rolls for $12. The photo below is the Volcano Roll with salmon, corn, & mango. Each roll is 8-pieces and they are not “bite sized”, they are at least 2-bites each. I didn’t mean to order 3-rolls — I ordered 2, but they have a “buy 2 get one free special” so I got 3. The place is clean and colorful. The person that took my order was friendly, but I think he was new (he had to ask a co-worker a lot of questions). I was the only person in the place. They served me in styrofoam boxes and a bag as if my order were to go. I sat down at a table and had to go back to the counter for soy sauce. They also have an assortment of sauces for the bowls like spicy mayo so I got some of that too. Because the rolls are so large, they have a lot of rice so the salmon and crab rolls are bland by themselves. Once you dress them up with wasabi, ginger, and soy they are great. I wouldn’t say it’s my favorite sushi place, but it’s a great value for the money spent. I will come back and try the bowls as it appears “bowls” are the signature dish and sushi is a sideline. Sushi isn’t actually on the menu, they have “sushi burritos” on the menu. I actually had to ask if they serve sushi.
Incredible food! It's pretty tough to find poke bowls in KC but this place does not disappoint. You can build a custom bowl or a sushi burrito. I'll definitely be coming back and bringing my friends!
I've only visited twice, but it's quickly become addictive for fresh poke bowl that's tasty and great value. Today I tried the aloha bowl. Really enjoyable on a hot day.
Decent amount of options and the ingredients are always fresh. The service is quick and friendly. By far my favourite place to go.
UPDATE: This place has been very frustrating the past few months. They're always out of something: lids, chopsticks, salad, yellowtail, etc. My order is almost always missing stuff l, and I have to ask them to go back and add it. The bowls have been on the light side recently as well, and very very slowly made. I love the food so this is really disappointing.
Update (1/2020): new management and they are fantastic! They're on top of things from stocking to cleaning to new food and drink options. I had to move away and I am so upset to leave this place behind. Try it out and see how much it's changed!!
This was our first time here. The ingredients were fresh and the staff were great. We will definitely be back.
We were speechless. Excellent food, great concept, kind people, relaxed atmosphere and good prices.
Great to have a pok'e (sushi) place in the Northland! As good as any in California. The number of ingredients is amazing.
Do yourself a favor and go enjoy a great spin on sushi. Think of Pok'e Bar as the Chipotle of sushi. Pok'e California Bowl was fantastic. Giant sushi roll that they call a burrito is great.
Because popularity for Poke'e is spiking and this is currently the ONLY Pok'e place in Kansas City, they're still working out ordering enough ingredients.
Sushi on the next level. This place is one of my top ten places to eat! I usually don’t like fish or sushi but this is not like sushi. If you are there you should definitely go there!
I loved this place the food was fresh and delicious. The texture of the spicy tuna was perfect and not overly spicy
Yummy, delicious, fresh sushi/poke! Portions were not too bad, but I'd love more protein! Service was great, I will be back!
