Had the pho and it was good, but probably not the best I've had. The portion size for lunch was perfect though. The prices were reasonable and the service was good. I would go back again.
I had Pho Tai today for lunch. it was good but i've had better around the city. it was slightly bland if i'm honest. but the lady serving was very kind and it was cool atmosphere cause it seemed like i stepped into a shop in Vietnam. Good but not great.
This is a perfect, out of the way restaurant that serves fantastic Vietnamese food in an extremely casual environment. One note: this location is inside the River Market, which means during the day there's fresh produce and lots of shoppers around. At night it can seem pretty desolate, but it is worth the effort. The only item I couldn't find was a bahn mi, but luckily there are lots of other solid choices. Perfect for dates and kids who are adventurous eaters.
My first time to eat Vietnamise, and a great experience. Hien Vuong is situated in the River Market area, and a great place to stop for a meal. The appetizers and soup was amazing. The portions were more than enough, and the price was right! This is a repeat visit kind of place, and I'll be back!
I love this place. The fried sweet potatoes and shrimp are the best here and so many different soups. It's not the fastest lunch in town, but it's more than worth it.
City Market is the place for shopping. Nice restaurant. Pho was good but portion is a bit small comparing to the others around here. Shrimp and Sweet potato fries was really authentic. Sauteed mussels are delicious. Dinning environment are simple but decent. We have no complains on services. It is a simple but well maintained place if you do not expect a formal sit-down dinner. It is a good family quick dinner place for a good food. We did not particularly like the Stir-fry glass noodles with chick and shrimp. Felt like everything were boiled first and quickly stir-fry together with a tasteless sauce, and the vegetable within were not very fresh. Maybe this dish is not what we expected. Will give another try next time. Please review the photos I have uploaded for the dishes I am referring in this review.

Fantastic!. Delicious and reasonable prices! The food is fresh...when I ordered a stir-fry dish, it came out in 5 minutes, and it was made as soon as I ordered it. The veggies were fresh, not overcooked. The flavors were rich. The seafood noodle soup with full of mussels, shrimp, scallops, and crab. A delicious treasure!
Pretty darn good. If you're a fan of the various types of Pho, you will like this place. I can't say much about the other offerings because I haven't tried them. Only downside is you come out of the place smelling like you ate at a Vietnamese joint. Whether that's good or bad depends on how sensitive your wife's nose is ;-). Reasonably priced and worth the trip. Go for it!
Portion sizes were smaller than what I anticipated from other pho places I’ve been to, however pho broth was super tasty! Deep fried shrimp was good however totally thought they were going to be the skewered shrimp for the price and description of it! Still the shrimp were crunchy and sauce was good!
One of my favorite restaurants in KC. The crab Rangoon is easily the best I’ve ever had!! Everything is very reasonably priced and has generous portions.
I was looking for a place with Vietnamese food and I drove 40 minutes to come here, they speak Vietnamese, are VERY nice, the food was like it was cooked by my grandma. (I had Bun Bo Hue and my girlfriend had the Pho Bo [Beef], we also ordered the Deep Fried Tofu)
It was a very peaceful eat and very tasty I would 110% come back and recommend it. Portions were great and price is normal for what you get. 🫣😫

Fantastic chicken and vegetable soup dumplings in broth! Comes with a side of cilantro/mint and sprouts. Hearty, filling and so warming!

This is a real mom and pop shop. The service is really hit or miss, but the food is probably the best viet I've ever had.
We've loved this place for years and it's always delicious. It's family owned and consistently fresh, juicy chicken, great portions, and very flavorful.

The food is great (I'm a vermicelli kinda gal)! I love the River Market area and used to frequent Hien Vuong when I was much younger (maybe 15+ years ago). And the food is still just as wonderfully amazing as I remember. Wish I still lived closer to have an excuse to go there more often. 100% recommend if ever in the area. ((The only real negative for me is that the woman who runs (and has run) the shop always seems irritated/angry but that could just be me))
