Border Brewing is one of the more under-the radar KC breweries, but I’ve come to appreciate and enjoy it more and more over the years. Their current taproom (one block down from their original one, which now houses Red Sash Brewing), is much more spacious and features a nice long bar—I can’t think of another local brewery that has a better one, tbh. Nothing flashy to their digs or beers, but they have nearly all the basic styles covered, only lacking a sour during my last visit. Since it’s nearly 100 degrees outside today, I’m enjoying the Strawberry Blonde, which is excellent!
Border has some really good choices with their different beers. I had the Patio Pale Ale on December 29th but it was 67⁰ outside. The people that work there are always helpful with suggestions and they have a really good sense of humor.
I love the new brewery space for Border! I also enjoyed the beer more. Can't remember what I'd had the first time I'd been there at its original location but I feel it's much better, now. Service was super nice. There's garage doors for fresh air when the temperature is nice. Location is accessible. Parking is street parking.

My office had a party at Border Brewing with about 60 attendees. Eric was super easy to work with, did not slam us with huge event fees, and the bartenders were exceptional. This place isn’t your typical brewery with a choice of super hoppy IPA or 14% stout. They have great IPAs and heavier beer but they also have a wide variety of lighter beers to please anyone’s taste. Drinks were full all night and our entire group had a blast. Can’t thank these guys enough.
5 stars for the spot and clean, repurposed enthusiast atmosphere. 4 stars for the beer, which is subtle but will fall into "can't tell the difference" for many and will be noticed as subtle by few. Rounding up for longevity and expansion during pandemic, which was brutal. Good beer, going to keep getting better.

Border Brewing is such a great spot to grab a locally brewed beer! From the handmade wood with lights overhanging the bar, to the brick wall all put in place by hand and potted plants hanging by the window, this place is seriously so homey and unique inside. The flavors at Border Brewing are one of a kind that you cannot find anywhere else! We had the strawberry blonde ale, the shiftie IPA, and the campfire. Jessica is just one of the managers working here who helped us tonight and she's an absolute pleasure to talk to. She really knows the history as well as the owner Eric and takes care of the guests like you're a friend. The staff are all friendly and inviting so you're at home as soon as you walk in. Thank you so much for the pleasant experience and for brewing great beers in KC!
Incredible atmosphere, extremely friendly beertender, nice selection of drinks. Has a hidden gem type of feel. Thanks for perfecting our Thursday evening!
Great spot to sit, chill and drink some beer. All beers were very tasteful. Now, bartender was maybe not enjoy his day too much, a bit grumpy, but not everyone needs to have a good day every day.
My favorite Crossroads Brewery! Great beer, very friendly staff, and a comfy atmosphere. Great new back yard too!
