First time visiting. We will definitely be repeat customers. The food was great quality, and value. The drinks were so good. The pricing is great for this family. We got so much. We loved the vibes of this restaurant. On the outside it looks like nothing but the inside is great. Definitely making this place a permanent date night.
Good Mexican food. I wouldn’t say it is the best I had, but it is good, prices are good. They have a Michelada with dark beer, amazing. My kids loved the tacos. I didn't give 5 stars in the atmosphere because I am sure they can do much better at using the available spare space they have for a waiting space where one can at least seat while waiting for a table.
Our go to Mexican place! Great food and service. I like the causal atmosphere. Haven’t had anything I don’t like. Good margaritas and I highly recommend trying the cheesecake chimichangas
First time trying this restaurant and it was phenomenal! I got the combo fajitas and my SO got the pick 3 dinner combo and 2 fish tacos to go. Everything was hot, fresh and seasoned to perfection. The tortilla chips were thin and crispy. The cheese dip was creamy and agreed with our palates. I also got a peach margarita and it had the perfect amount of alcohol in it......almost every woman in the establishment had one. Lol! It appeared that every item on the menu was less than $16. They do charge $2.99 for togo chips and salsa, but that wasn't an issue for us. We'll probably be eating here once a week or so, and I don't even live near by.
We have been here many times and the food is always good. However this trip they really stepped up their game. The portions were nice size. I do not like red sauce on my enchiladas so I always get cheese sauce on top and pay extra, even though I pay extra there is barely enough to cover them. This time there was a decent coverage on them. It's the quality and details I appreciate. Great job!
Easy to find at the south edge of Waldo in a small strip center on 85th just east of Wornall. Probably the most authentic Mexican food you'll find this side of southwest boulevard and quite well established . Chelly's cafe has been a local hang out for years by providing a comfortable atmosphere and a quality menu with large portions and reasonable prices. The princess had the Santa Fe burrito and seemed to enjoy it. I had the carnitas chimichangas and it was excellent. We don't come here very often but probably should!
Chelley's is a neighborhood family owned and operated Mexican food restaurant and bar. I have dined there for over 20 years, and am still going and enjoying it. Margaritas are great.
I had an extraordinary experience and time with my family here. Always a good time! The staff here are efficient and helpful. They treat everyone with respect! I love their white cheese dip queso or you can upgrade it to a fundido dip. The menu is easy to understand, no hidden information. They have a bar and drinks. I have never ordered anything I didn't like. Definitely give this place a visit
Large menu, great flavor and seasoning. The chips and salsa are perfect. Our server Cesar was great! We had a short wait because we had a group of 6 but it was worth the wait.
Wonderful for takeout or dine in. Tucked away in the strip mall, no problem parking for a to-go order.
Standard fare from most any Mexican place, very well run and organized.
Clean interior and exterior and the staff is always hustling.
