The Bite is probably one of the freshest places in K.C. The shop itself is no frills, an indoor/outdoor place with rustic wood tables, reminiscent of a beach boardwalk sandwich shop. But the food!! The food is a collection of flavors you don't expect together that just melts in your mouth! A great place to dine with your carnivore, vegan, and vegetarian friends alike, there's something for everyone!
As I said on Yelp:
"This is one of my favorite spots on the market. Their food is awesome and their menu offers a lot of variety. I really love their standard offerings, and their specials are exactly what they should be- especially wonderful.
Not only that, their staff offers some stand up customer service. They're always quick, efficient, and friendly.
The vibe of the dining room and market seating, the art and decor, and the overall presentation of their menu and food is what really hooked me. They've done an amazing job creating a fast casual restaurant while overcoming the challenges that accompany operating a business in the market. I'm always impressed by their level of professionalism and integrity as a business. No matter if it's busy or slow, I always receive great service.
Short version: Eat here again and again, because this place deserves success!"
The bite is a place the turned into one of my favorites when I first moved to KC about 5 years ago. Then we tried a few items and loved them all. You really cannot go wrong with any item on the menu. My favorite by far is the Patatas Bravas. For $4 if you like kimchi it will blow your mind. Another of my favorites is the bay of pigs sandwich. Always great customer service, food comes out fast and fresh even of they are super busy.
The Patatas Bravas which have potatoes, kimchi, green onions, cilantro, spicy mayo were pretty good idk if I was just hungry but liked them very much I asked the employee which sandwich I should get?! he recommended the bay of pigs which is the (left sandwich) and honestly wasnt that great I do however recommend El Señor Chang (Sandwich on right) lucky for me my wife and I shared :) so I was able to try both sandwich I still give it a 5 star service was fast clean tables atmosphere was good too and I like art and they have plenty along the walls for a small place
Glad they are open for pickup and delivery! The “family meal” mushroom taco tray and patatas bravas are so packed with flavor. Awesome to have this vegetarian fusion option.
Amazing sandwiches! We had The Toadstool, the Sloppy & the Bay of Pigs, with a side of Brussel Sprouts. Excellent! The flavors were unique & the bread was outstanding! If I wasn't full I'd go back for more. Friendly staff!
The Brussels sprouts will be what I remember about this place.
Stopped in after finding them listed on Happy Cow for vegan foot in Kansas City. They have one vegan sandwich on the menu the menu and it’s kind of like a bbq bahn mi. The sesame slaw was also really great.
My friend said it was the best sandwich he's had in a long time.
I loved the presentation and the flavor. I think it's a little small for the price, but overall pretty good experience.
I went here for vegan pop up and automosphere is very chill and open. If I could have vegan like this crunch wrap and stew with such vibrant flavors I could be a vegan most of time.
Great fusion of flavors. Rich mole and creme over slow cooked short ribs all resting on a tamale that is delicious on its own. You have to try this place.
All of their sandwiches are amazing. Sometimes on the weekends they have less traffic than they should. I feel like they need to hand out some samples or do something to get more traffic. More people need to know the truth. There should be a line out the door.
Had delicious potato side and red cabbage. Daughter had sweet mass tamales. We both enjoyed our meals!
