I love Butt Hutt and so does every person I've brought in. Read the review or skip it and go straight in for some curry fries. Seriously creative options and all the classic standards.
The restaurant looks small but the setup is comfortable and there is plenty of seating inside and outside. You can see into the kitchen which always gives me a level of comfort about the cleanliness of any establishment. A quick check of the bathroom confirms this place is well managed.
You order at the register and the servers have all been friendly, patient, and attentive. Oddly enough it doesn't slow down the line so it's a quick pick as well! They offer $3-5 drafts, I'm a cider fan and love to see them come in under $6 for an affordable experience.
I personally like the pulled pork platter with the cilantro slaw (not your classic southern sweet side) and corn nuggets. The curry fries are where it's at, you have to just go for it, the flavors work, it's a surprising twist for 2-4. Their sauces are also top notch and you can purchase them to go, the vinegar based mustard is my pick!
Side note: most indoor tables are high top seating, mac n cheese is spicy so kids beware.

Service was great, answered all my questions, flavors are all unique. A superb addition to the BBQ scene. Brisket was fork tender and very moist. The bbq sauce was vinegar based if it matters. You definitely gotta try one of the loaded fries, It hit the spot. I will definitely come back
I’m so glad Butt Hutt got a brick & mortar. I had been wanting to try them for a few years but never in the right side of town as them.
We have eaten there a few times now and it never disappoints!
We get the pulled pork sandwiches which are always so full! I get the tasty fries and my boyfriend loves their corn nuggets.
I just wished they had ranch withOUT cilantro. These fries taste better with ranch.
Cool place. Nicely decorated. Had brisket that was nice and tender. Moist and had good flavor. They were out of ribs but will definitely be back to try it again. The florida fries were amazing. Unique but awesome garlic taste in the sauce. Price point is on point.
This was my 4th time coming here and each time was great. I had the brisket sandwich, wings, ribs and the smokehouse melt. Make sure you get the house made ranch! That stuff was good
Food is to die for. Not the same BBQ you get at every other BBQ place, a more thoughtful menu, including the best brisket around, jerk chicken done from scratch, and sauces that are all incredibly good and even pair well together.
All in a funky, fun little spot that you'll enjoy.
Every time I come to Jacksonville, I try a different local place and this is by far the best one yet! The best brisket I've had in florida. The spicy Mac n cheese was perfect. The young lady running the dining room was super friendly.
We got a bunch of different things: pulled pork sandwich, brisket, corn nuggets, mac’n’cheese & curry fires. Everything was really really good! Loved the BBQ/ mustard sauces too.
My only complaint was that there wasn’t much seating inside so we took some seats outside & there were so many flys I was having to wave them away with one hand as I ate. I think with some fans outside or something that it could be improved but that’s my only complaint. We’ll definitely be back!
The food was so delicious that two days later we decided to come again. It beats woodpeckers by a mile. I’m so happy to know Jax has phenomenal BBQ like this place. The service was fantastic as well.
Great food!!!!! Such a diverse and unique menu. Everything tasted soo good. Loved the location and new building. Will definitely come again and recommend to other people!!
