We used Monroe's BBQ for a recent wedding and it was an amazing experience from beginning to end. The food was delicious and set up perfectly and the staff, especially Diane Pearson was a delight to work with! I could not recommend enough!
The food by far is the best i have ever had...the staff in house and on the go are nice and take care of customers request i will always and forever go to this restaurant and i will recommend people who havent been there at all

I haven't been to this place since 2016 and let me say this place still taste very good. The banana pudding is a must have. I would have given it five stars but the greens had too much vingear in it. Once I took it out the vinegar and ate it for left over it was wonderful. Everything else was great. I had the Meaty dinner and my daughter had the one meat and 2 vegetables. Safe to say she loves the turkey, the Mac, and banana pudding.
Best BBQ in Jacksonville. Love the smokehouse chicken platter with the baked beans. The corn nuggets are to die for, and the fried okra is amazing. The service is wonderful and everyone is super friendly.

The food here is really good. The meat is very well smoked and very well seasoned. The only reason that I am not giving Monroe's 5 stars on their food is that: I order 3 wings and ribs AND got 3 half a wings (see pictures). I found that to be misleading, especially for the price.
We stopped there for lunch today. It was my first time going there. I had the pulled pork sandwich and fries. It was off the chain. I will definitely go back.
Second time for review... Food is always good, like everything, a bit pricey at times, miss the one on the south side of Jacksonville. Vegetables and sides are good, Will be back when on this side of town.
Happy to find that this branch is still open. Miss them on the south side of town. Orders placed at counter, then delivered table side. Food has always been tasty and reasonably priced.
