Is the perfect scape place in the middle of downtown, super cute, the decor is AMAZING! they really do a great job there, is like going to the Willy's Wonka factory, you feel like a kid again, I went with the Easter decorations and it was so beautiful! But don't eat at the restaurant, the food is very very bad, the quality, the taste, it's just terrible, not worth it, they should change the chef, because on the menu it sounds good but forget it, I think if McDonald's would have to do it they would do it better! But the restaurant area is very cute too, good to sit on the bar and have some drinks.

Went for lunch as a group yesterday. We made reservations for 6 but upon arrival no greeter and a sign saying seat yourself which I found odd. It wasn’t very busy when it was Candy Apple, it seemed packed. Food was good! I had the steak sandwich. Three of the group had the shrimp and grits. One had the lobster sandwich, sorry no picture. The other in group was a Vegan and had something made to her specs and they did so without hesitation. Waiter was fairly attentive. We got an appetizer called Wisconsin in the South. Fried pickles and cheese curds. Some menu options have hilarious names others are plain, all should be funny.

We went because we received a 30% off coupon from Sweet Pete's rewards through our cell phone. We did not have reservations and sought lunch for five adults and three kids. The hostess seated us quickly (we chose to sit outside on the beautiful front porch because the weather was nice and the kids especially would enjoy this) and our server did a great job taking our drink and food orders. The food was good. The kids really enjoyed the quirky names of their menu options (I'm Not Hungry = mini burgers, Get Off Your Phone = grilled cheese, etc). The burgers do not come with any condiments already on them but the server brought condiments as soon as we requested them. The only thing that was off is that we advised our sweet server at the start how to divide the bill into three families and for the most part she got it right but in the end one family got the food for a child from a different family on their bill (as well as their own). An added treat was going upstairs to Sweet Pete's to tour the factory and enjoy a $5 per child "all you can fill" container of candy. I miss the old Sweet Pete decor from the front of the building and in the upstairs porch area. The food was a little slow coming to table as other have mentioned but we didn't mind at all as we were busy talking and the kids were coloring on the kids menus and talking as well. All in all MLG was a good experience and we have recommended it to friends and will go back someday.

We came for Sunday brunch and the food was mostly delicious. The one negative remark I have is that the corned beef in the corned beef hash was dry enough to be jerky. The other members of my party were all quite happy with their meals. We recommend the Bananas Foster French Toast and the Surf and Turf Eggs Benedict.

INCREDIBLE food and service!!!!!! I’ve lived in both Jacksonville and the beaches my entire life and this is officially my new favorite restaurant. So many amazing food options for everyone and the quality and taste of the food is exceptional. We’ve come 3 times in the past two weeks and won’t be hesitating to come back again! Not to mention you can bring the family to the candy and ice cream shop just upstairs. You must check it out, you will not be disappointed!
