Wow! Best kept secret in Jacksonville Florida. I will begin with the amazing food and the many selections there are at this cafeteria-styled restaurant. The staff is friendly, the menu selection is to die for, and the price is relatively cheap when everything else is going up. Try the roast beef and one of your sites must be the rice cooked with cheese on top. I had enough food to last me the entire day for $13.00 tax included. Everything is delicious there and I added a menu for all to see. Wow!
I have been a big fan of cafeteria restaurants since I was 10, and with my recent visit to Jacksonville it was on my bucket list. I went for lunch and was expecting a good crowd that would normally be lined up, but that wasn't the case. The parking lot was a quarter full and there was no line. But it was open and my selection of the freshly cooked Southern Fried Catfish was the best I've had in years. It came with 2 sides for $11.99, very good price. I wish them well as the waitress I spoke to had 24 years vested in Piccadilly, a company that dotted the Florida landscape with a cafeteria and is now down to two.
The food was all very good but got the chocolate cream pie... something not right with that. It had a weird minty metal mouthwash taste to it. So disappointed...have loved picadilly all my life. We just happened to find out there was one in Jacksonville while we were out today... awesome. We live 2 1/2 hours away. Overall good and happy to find one here. Staff was all super nice and helpful too.
I haven't been here in years, I thought they had closed. The liver and onions, butter beans, and carrot souffle was delicious. It needed a little more seasoning. Jennifer on the serving line was very pleasant and nice. I was a little undecided.
Food was excellent and fresh, didn't have that "sitting under a heat lamp all day" taste. Furthermore the environment is nice and quiet with subtle music playing in the background, will definitely be visiting this place again. 👍
This place still exists and is kind of a bargain for lunch if you want a nice meal at fast food prices.
I went on a Tuesday for lunch and they had live music. They were surprisingly good too!
Was so happy to find a local Piccadilly! I grew up eating at the Piccadilly in Orlando eating with my grandparents. I stopped in and was greeted with all friendly employees. The food all looked fresh on the line. I ordered the roast beef and they gave me a very large portion. The roast beef and all the sides were hot and delicious. I wish we still had more local Piccadilly’s.
This restaurant has been a longtime family favorite even before I was a teenager and I'm 59 now and I must say it brought back some really fond memories. The food was really good, the service was impeccable, and I even bumped into a worker that has been with the chain for over 30 years. Personally I feel that the decor could use a bit of an upgrade but it did not detract from enjoying my food which I did. Looks like it will continue to still be a long time family favorite going forward

Very sweet staff all of the staff was excellent, the turnip greens required some seasoning but the chicken was very flavorful and the rolls were fresh and super light and fluffy. I also had a broccoli and cheese/rice casserole and it was very flavorful! Overall super impressed with the service I received and the value for $18.00 including tip!
