One of the best places I’ve yet to come across the food it mouth watering. I will definitely go again and recommend to anyone looking for really good Cuban food 💕
Awesome Meal..... My wife and I both had the shredded pork, black beans /w rice and plantains. For dessert, we both had Flan. We are both picky about Cuban food because so many restaurants can't make truly authentic meals. This meal was as good as any we had while down in Hialeah and Miami. The pork had great flavor without being overpowered by garlic, the beans and rice had a little bit of seasoning (not too much), the plantains were properly cooked without being too mushy. The portions were large enough that we had lunch off it the next day. The flan was so good, we bought more and brought it home for later. We highly recommend this restaurant and hope you like it as much as we did.
Great food and great people. The food is very tasty, with out being overly oiled. The cooking is done with fresh ingredients , and doesn't depend on oil or butter for flavor. The flavor comes from the way it is prepared, and it is prepared to perfection.
Best Flan in town!!! Had the chicken Mofongo, It was tender and very flavorful. My wife had the Cuban and it was outstanding , great bread!!! Authentic Cuban cuisine! Will be back FO SHO!!
Avoid bacon sandwich!. Food is good, but avoid the bacon sandwich, it is dry, bacon overcooked,no butter and the omelette was burnt.
First time eating here and first time trying mofongo. Both were great! The Cuban sandwich was also very delicious. Whatever you get make sure you save room for their FLAN! It's amazing. We be back for sure.
Really good, authentic, flavorful mofongo. Definitely nothing on this menu is vegetarian-friendly (and it is pretty pricey, too), but it's nice to find such unspoiled ethnic food and friendly staff.

El Mofongo's is one of the best places to stop in for a great healthy & authentic Cuban sandwich!!! The restaurant is nestled off of Blanding Blvd. (near the flea market & where 103rd & Timiquana meet. @ Wesconnett.) The food is fresh & great tasting!
Once you try their food, your tummy will be happy.They also serve healthy Dominican dishes as well. If you are visiting from out of town, stop by & give the food a try, you won't want to miss this restaurant. Enjoy!
Yum!. Despite the higher crime rate in this area of town, the food here is so delicious, it keeps us coming back for more. No matter what you try, from the daily special to the Cuban sandwich, it's delicious and worth every penny. I suggest finishing your meal with a cafe con leche and a pastry.
The staff is friendly and willing to please, the food is very well priced and the service is usually quick.
Good food!. This is more of a Dominican-Cuban place now. I used to go there when it was owned by the original Cuban owner,,,and the food tastes as good. They are friendly and prompt to service, and their congri is great, as well as their pernil. The cafe con leche is good too. They also have cakes with guava and pineapple, which is typical of the Spanish Caribbean food. It is a modest location in an area of town that has seen better days, but the food keeps me going back there for more! It is inexpensive and fast. I have not tried any Dominican dishes yet. Last time visited was January 2011.
This was my first time here. The staff was very welcoming. We had a lot of questions and they were very helpful. Nice relaxed atmosphere for lunch. I ordered the seafood mofongo, and my niece had the picadillo and both were really delicious. My mofongo was very flavorful and full of seafood. The portions are huge.
Don't forget to donate a couple of bucks to feed the cute kitties outside.
Omg this restaurant hands down had the best tasting mofongo relleno de camarones (green plaintains seasoned with garlic and stuffed with shrimp) and coffee too. Food was on point!! Can't believe how good it was. It was seasoned to perfection. Had 9 shrimps which was plenty. Son had barbecue chicken and rice. Again perfecto. Staff was great too. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR AUTHENTIC FOOD
Very authentic food, generous serving, and awesome service. The staff are friendly and helpful. Prices are more than fair. Wanted to try something out of the way. Was very impressed with the restaurant, clean and happy to serve.
Simple neighborhood restaurant with friendly service and delicious food - and they serve breakfast all day.
I arrived at 10:30am to meet a relative who lives close by. Instead of breakfast, I ordered Shrimp Monfongo because the menu picture looked interesting and the owner said it was good. It's made with green plantains, crackling, garlic, and spices ground up and shaped into a ball. They serve it over tender shrimp (sauteed?)with a delicious sauce that tasted a little like curry.
It took a little while to prepare but it was well worth the wait. It was delicious and a wonderful eating experience with the different textures. Definitely 2 thumbs up!

New style and an even better experience. Food was great service was great and the will leave the customer feeling appreciated was in the air. Even had the coffee at the end of the meal. Great place

Their steak sandwiches are always sooo good! My favorite place to eat in Jax! I also highly recommend their chicken!
The mofongo restaurant first of all was amazing, the employees greeted us with the typical smile and friendly welcoming, and as Hispanics my husband and us miss that from out homeland so we loved it. Now the food was delish!! Tasted like home.
The food was great everyone was very nice and professional clean the atmosphere and once again the food was great will recommend it to anyone
