We miss living in Jacksonville because of this restaurant! Best sushi best food in general and the service is always great. We planned our weekend trip to Jacksonville around having time for dinner at Yashi Sushi (honestly).
This place was decent, but nothing to call home about. Got here around 8 pm on a Friday night only to see a few occupied tables. The establishment is small, but nothing special. After being seated we were greeted quickly and ordered. The food was delivered quick and was satisfactory. The sushi rolls were very big and filling and had decent taste. It wasn't anything to brag about, but was decent food. The fried rice tasted old and bland, but other than that there was nothing to be too upset about. I was also happy the waiter gave us a whole bottle of yum yum sauce to keep at the table without asking. This place is good, not mind blowing sushi, but good enough to get the job done.
My fiancé and I found this amazing Japanese restaurant by accident! Definitely one of the best places we’ve eaten at since moving to this side of Florida. Grace (She’s in the picture) and Frank took care of us tonight. I’m on a very restrictive diet. The kitchen did amazing job cooking just the way it needed to be done! The prices are also good too! DEFINITELY need to go check them out! Keep in mind it’s kinda difficult to see at night! 🍣
Sushi was good but not super fresh. One of the better places we have tried for sushi. I had the caterpillar roll, Diablo roll and Florida roll and the caterpillar one was definitely my favorite. We ordered to go and the sushi was room temperature/warm. It made everything a bit off. Willing to taste it at the restaurant to see if there is a difference.
The server was very friendly & pretty prompt to our requests, including my kids request. The miso soup was flavorful but definitely too salty. I usually add a bit of soy sauce to my miso. We loved the boat presentation for our sushi rolls. Their rolls were quite creative & had good presentation. Our favorites were the Hawaiian (it's not sweet) & the Yuki rolls. The Yuki roll was very refreshing, we ordered a second. My 5 yr old son kiked it. I always love lemon on sushi. The 2 fried rolls we had ( the dynamite & the superman) were good but lacked some of the wow factor. We would come back though.
We truly adore Yashi Sushi! The food is prepared beautifully, simply, and always fresh. They have the best filet mignon hibachi in town cooked to perfection. It is a smaller restaurant with warm decor and service. The owner and staff remember regulars and always take time to have a simple chat and check in with patrons. Each time we visit the restaurant, we can tell people love coming back to Yashi, everyone is always smiling. :) Wonderful gem of a restaurant in Jax.
This is a really solid sushi place for the price. I would highly recommend the black dragon roll. Service was speedy and we were checked in several times. This is not a fancy place but it's very clean and a great value, I would dine here again.
Excellent basic rolls in a small uncrowded area. Will this blow your mind ? No. But neither does a burger from a generic pub. It's solid, and good value. We will probably go back.
Excellent sushi! I got the Philly roll, Caterpillar roll, and spicy tuna. The Philly roll was made with crab and salmon, which was new to me, but quite delicious. The Caterpillar roll was my favorite-seaweed and avocado went really well together.
I ordered take out and it was smooth and easy, and the staff were super friendly and efficient.
Best around town the sue chef was so cool talked to us the whole time about cooking i cook so it was so fun. Little to dark tho would be nice if there was more light. Im commimg back for sure.
Best hibachi chicken. Generous food portions. Juicy chicken.
