This was my first time visiting. I can't say that I ever writing have noticed this place if it wasn't recommended for us to stop here. I'm glad we did though. They had a 30 shrimp special on the day we went. The food was made fresh to order and either called out for pick up when ready or brought to your table if you decided to fine in. The staff members were very nice and the food was hit and delicious. There was also plenty left for later! Thanks for all you do and for having amazing specials that your clients can take advantage of.
We mostly go for the 15th and 30th Shrimp Special but we have dined on other fare there, as well. Great fresh prepared food and the service is second to none! Very warm atmosphere. Must warn you that the Shrimp Special Days are busy, so come prepared BUT they get people waited on for dine in and to go in expert timing. Love there staff, warm, knowledgeable peeps!❤️
Had to pick my wife up from the airport the other day. We decided to have lunch before heading home. We didn't want the standard chain restaurant or fast-food stuff, so we searched on line, found this place and decided to give it a try.
And we are glad we did! We got the lunch portions of "fried shrimp and fried oysters" and "fried catfish and fried shrimp" with sides of fries and cole slaw (yes, we are fried seafood nuts).
The hushpuppies were just like we like them, crispy exterior, fully cooked interior and a hint of sweetness.
Orders were delivered promptly and were piping hot. The fries could have been a bit crispier. Other than that the food was delicious.
If you like fried seafood and don't want the usual chain-restaurant fare, give this place a shot. The waitstaff are friendly, courteous and attentive without being annoying.

My first time going to this place. I really wasn't looking forward to the food, I went on someone else's recommendation. However, I must say, I was too surprised!!..The Seafood that I got was fresh, hot, and superbly cooked. The Sides left a lot to be desired, but I have to say it was worth my ride. The place was clean, the stafff was very friendly, and the service was really fast. I live in Mandarin. I went to the Main St. Location, and I will DEFINITELY go again. Thank you guys for showing me that there is STILL great Seafood in Jacksonville!!
The manager lady Ms. Christy was very helpful in helping me choose what to eat. They have a lot to choose from. The cooks are awesome. Love the place... check out 30 piece shrimp day on the 1st and 15th
I agree with many of the reviews already posted both good and bad. Last time we were here it was so so food topped with a healthy dose of kitchen and wait staff confusion. We wanted to give it one more try & so glad we did. Not yet 5 star but greatly improved... Today the food was spot on. Crab legs were perfectly steamed... Epic job... Seafood platter was awesome! The sides need a little creative flavoring to catch up with the rest of the meal. Sides seem bland compared to main entree. POS system at the register was working and the kitchen wasn't yelling at each other and to the servers... Nice improvement everyone. We will try again!
I had the mahi-mahi, shrimp, combo and some fried calamari. The calamari was cooked perfectly in a light batter. The mahi-mahi was disappointing. The dish was dry and I don’t believe it was fresh. The only reason I didn’t return it was because I should’ve asked beforehand if was fresh or frozen. I didn't think about it because mahi-mahi is still in season. I would still eat here again.
Food was delicious and plentiful. I had carryout. But everyone was super friendly when I picked up my other.

Last min decision. We went in about 45 mins before closing so we had the place to our selves. The food was still fresh and yummy and the ladies working didn't act like we were bothering them just because it was nearing closing time which is awesome cuz that really urks my nerves
