Love this restaurant! The $5 Margarita are so yummy and the staff is really friendly! Great place and reasonably priced!

Casa Maria is ok Mexican. Descent for the price point. Portions are generous, service attentive.
Really fresh tasting mexican food. The meats here are very tender and taste well marinated. You can tell they put preparation in this particular area. Just good fresh tasting food here; even the taco shells and tortilla chips taste somewhat fresh. The service here is capable, it took me a while to get service (although I kind of seated myself so I can't blame anyone for that) and, once I did get a server, service was continuous and attentive for the most part. The pollo tampiqueno is a sure thing.
Great service...food/portions/prices were awesome! Burritos Pansonas (pork burritos) were fantabulous!
Cinco de mayo take-out. Ordered our food to go on cinco de mayo since we figured they might of been busy but they weren't or we had already missed the rush. Girl on the phone sounded very, very confused and proceeded to tell us it would take at least 30 minutes for it to be ready. Arrived well within 30 minutes and our food was ice cold. The pollo ranchero was pretty good, and would probably have been better if I didn't have to microwave it when I got home. I'll have to try it again in order to comment on the service, and experience more of their menu non-microwaved.
I am not a local but thought the food and service was great. Some of the best Mexican food. Would definitely comeback.
Much Better Service. My husband and I had eaten at Casa Maria several times a few years ago and we stopped eating there because the service was always so bad. I stopped in for lunch today with my sister and our server checked on us throughout the meal and was very friendly. The chips and salsa were flavorful and we had two lunch specials, cheese quesadilla with refried beans and two taco salads with a quesadilla, and both were tasty. I am glad to see some of their service issues have been resolved and we may start frequenting them again.

Great fresh Mexican food. Always on the lookout for good Mexican food, I was glad to find this little gem right in my neighborhood. They've only been open at the Old St. Augustine Rd location for several months and I've not been to any of their other locations, but the food here is some of the best Mexican food I've found in Jacksonville. My favorite is their Chile Relleno with a side of taco beef on top. Their refried beans are the best I've ever had. Although the chile relleno is my favorite, they also have awesome chicken soft tacos, a huge California Burrito and great fresh chips and salsa and their guacamole is great too. No complaints about anything I've tried. As if their great food isn't enough their house margaritas are 2 for 1 all the time! Every one of my friends I've taken there have raved about it too. Give it a try, you'll find me there at least 2 or 3 times a week!

Very Dissapointed with the Service. I have never entered a restaurant review online before but this experience was so disappointing and bizarre that I had to publish a review.
I have been to the new Casa Maria on St. Augustine Road several times and always enjoyed the food and service. I don't know if they have new management or what but today was horrible. I ordered a special and asked for a taco on the side with chorizo. This is where my problems started.
The waitress said she could not order a single chorizo taco from the kitchen because she was not allowed to. I told her I would give her a bigger tip if she made it happen and thought nothing more of it. Next both the manager and owner came to our table to tell us how this was impossible and how they could not put chorizo in a taco because it was too much work for the kitchen. I offered to pay extra but apparently there is a strict rule that a chorizo taco can only come in groups of 3. I was very disappointing and expected that a restaurant owner would be more interested in satisfying his customers that following such a silly rule.
We’ve been coming here for years and have never once had a bad experience.
The food is delicious, spiced and flavored exceptionally, and the serving sizes are perfectly aligned with the price.

If you haven’t been here, you definitely need to check this place out! The food and service are always on point! Today I had the Chimicurri Steak Taco and Hawaii Taco. They just changed their menu recently so I have so many options to try next. Always delicious!
Went for lunch and they had a great lunch menu. I ordered the California burrito and my husband had the fajitas and they were large portions. Bryant was our server and was very nice and attentive.
We enjoy coming here from time to time. Food is always good and service is fast and friendly! They recently remodeled and added some new items to the menu. Tacos are always good. My lady really enjoys the quesadilla as well. Stop by and give it a try.
As always the staff and food are 5 stars. The burritos are amazing and definitely full size. Carne Asada is my go to because of the size and flavor. Fajita hot and delicious, presentation and price are on point.
This visit i had a special treat. The manager had a new tequila so i had to try it. Super smooth and flavorful, smelled just as smooth. They have a full bar with bottles, cans and draft beer. From tequila to wine and everything in between.
Outstanding service, food, and prices. My lady had an outstanding chicken quesadilla which they made exactly how she wanted it. The choripollo tacos were amazing. The grilled onions on the tacos were almost caramelized (awesome!!!) and the chorizo and chicken were cooked perfectly. Drinks were fantastic!!!! Definitely coming back to enjoy this very broad menu and excellent drinks!!!
We ordered takeout last night 11/10. The music was a little loud for us since we are traveling and were tired, but we ordered food and got their to go margaritas. Everything was amazing, the food was flavorful and everyone liked what they got. The margs were strong and tasted good. The guy who helped us was super friendly and energetic. We didn’t get his name but the service was awesome!
