Service is always excellent...Katie is our favorite server there!! She has an awesome attitude and takes great care of us. I've never had a bad meal here...fresh sushi and other entrees. Seating is available outside or inside and both are great. Bar seating available as well. Whether you live in the keys or you're just passing through...you can't go wrong stopping here for dinner!
My son raved about the macadamia hog fish. He even got an extra order to go to have for breakfast my food was amazing the hog fish woodfired was fabulous
And the vegetables were ultra fresh. My husband got the grouper cheeks and really enjoyed them. We went to another restaurant called the Island Grill and that was just about the worst food ever and Kaiyo restaurant with the REAL fresh fish was a five star difference. Service was good and the wait was not long. Well worth returning. The service was also good. No complaints.
Sushi menu has many tasty options and some interesting twists to certain rolls. The coco loco is one in particular. Make a reservation if possible. It gets very busy especially in the evening depending on the season. There was a party of six who was drunk and very loud and inconsiderate but once they ate and settled down the atmosphere was more peaceful. Staff was on them though and manger the table well. Our server Dave was very kind and knew the menu well. The manger walked around and was also very friendly. They have a bar and high tops when you walk in to the left of you want drinks or to sit at a high table.
My husband and I love sushi so we decided to try Kaiyo Grill for happy hour. My husband ordered the Best Crunchy and I ordered the B-28. They are both excellent rolls and very fresh. The Millers...

Our server, Sharom, provided impeccable service throughout the meal. While our intention was to sample sushi, we also explored the steak options. The B 28 sushi roll left a lasting impression, while the shrimp tempura roll showcased delightful flavor. Tuna sashimi was a stand out highlight. Sharom’s recommendation, New York strip steak, was flawlessly prepared and an absolute must try. Sake is hot and delicious. Served Giant Size. Kaiyo Grill is a culinary Haven that warrants repeat visits.
Great dinner with family! Staff is friendly and attentive. Food is delicious. I recommend to try the different sushi rolls available. The stir fry rice is amazing.
The food was amazing and our server was super nice to us. I never thought I would like sushi but it turned out amazing!! Everyone had a smile on their faces and it wasn’t too crowded or too empty. Everything was amazing and I totally recommend!!!
This is one of the best restaurants in the Keys, and specifically in Islamorda. The sushi is great. The seafood is wonderful. This is a staple for our visits to the Keys.
The service was great (especially the Keys). If you're in the area, this is a can't miss place to have a special evening.

Look for the Lighthouse and you have found Kaiyo Grill & Sushi. Delicious food, great location and David is an attentive and knowledgeable server. If weather permits be sure to sit outside on the covered patio to enjoy the Islamorada weather. Take out is also available
Let me get right to the meat. This steak was incredible. I thought Ziggies had a lock on steak but I was mistaken. Cooked to perfection, great taste. Bartender's service was just as good as the steak. Great atmosphere, even better food. This place is a bit pricey, but anything good is. I highly recommend this location for a steak if you can't get into Ziggie Mad dogs.
We’ve heard such a great raves from the locals about this place. And they were not wrong! This is one of the best places to eat at while in the area. We sat at the bar, our waitress was amazing! Gave us great suggestions based on what we like and the food was top notch! Loved the atmosphere by the bar. Definitely coming back when I’m in town! I’d highly recommend this to anyone passing by or staying in the area!
Great food, very good pesentations and simply delicious
We came with our own skinless and boneless yellowtail snapper. The very friendly hostess said we usually don’t do cook your catch but since we in early and they were not too busy so she ok’d it.
Couple great rolls for apps then the fish done macadamia nut encrusted and grilled. Outstanding!
Then we went again with friends and we all had rolls, sushi and Grouoer Cheeks. Very very tasty
