I eat here almost every single friday....i LOVE this place and the people are very friendly here! I call my order in to go and it is always right and hot when I arrive.
Absolutely love Kabuto. Been here at least a dozen times. You can enjoy drinks and sushi while waiting for your hibachi to be ready. Another great thing is the value for what you get. You can eat like royalty for really reasonable prices, depending on what all you get. Will continue to dine here for a long time.
Love their "chicken hibachi" meal. It is so delicious- but an extremely heavy meal, especially with their white sauce. Delicious, but also decadent. The sushi is pretty good- not outstanding, but nothing to complain over. For the price, it's one of our "go to" spots on the Southside.

Decent Sushi.. Eh, I've had better. But it also wasn't *terrible* either. This is my wife and my opinion on the sushi dinner we had at Kabuto the other night. The freshest? Eh. The largest? No. The most unique? No. But it is decent sushi at a decent price. We sat by the sushi maker himself, but that doesn't lend itself to thinking too highly of a place when you see three big tubs of GFS "Heavy Duty Mayonnaise" (that was seriously the name of it) sitting behind the bar. I know pretty much all sushi places use it, but I'd just like if they'd hide it a little bit better.
Anywho, this is a nice enough place for you to check it out yourself. I certainly wouldn't shy away from it, but Ichiban is slightly better overall for your next sushi craving.
I have been there many times and the food was very good. The staff was always friendly. Only had to wait once and that was a on a busy Saturday night.
Been going here for years and never had a bad time or bad food...so good! I haven't tried the sushi so I cant comment on it but the habachi is yummilicious!
Sushi is the best I've had, but I've never been to a world renowned sushi restaurant so I guess I'm still a sushi infant. The hibachi is hit or miss but never bad. Sometimes it's really good sometimes just okay. Some of the cooks are more entertaining than others. Overall, I like it enough to keep coming back.
Great!. 1st visit and we loved it. Food was fresh, delicious and plentiful. We ordered shrimp and scallops from the grill and they were cooked to tender perfection The sushi was tasty and fresh. Atmosphere is very nice, staff is very friendly, chef was entertaining and funny. We had a lot of fun and will definitely return.
Delicious!. We weren't here for a double date night and both had the hibachi chicken meals. They were very tasty and the service was great. We would definitely go back!
I've been coming to Kabutos since 1999 and it never fails to satisfy. The service is always pretty quick and entertaining. The food is amazing. I will continue to come.
A side note: lunch is ranged $6 to $9 instead of the expensive dinner prices, go for lunch!
It was 2 of my kids who share a birthday. They chose to go to Kabutos. It is an atmosphere that is very entertaining and fun. It is a good place to take your children. I have been for years now. The food is very good. Warning though the use a lot of real butter that is very rich. It really makes the flavor of the food. But sometimes will give you a bit of a tummyache. My son gets the red snapper which he loves. My Husband ❤️💍 and I normally will get the Kabuto combination. It is really good because you get two different types of meat. This is a full course meal. It starts off with soup, a salad, then your main course. Their sushi is also very good
We had a great dinner for four this weekend. Server was great. Cook was great. Food never disappoints. The restaurant was clean and tastefully decorated for Christmas.
There is another Japanese restaurant in the area with a hibachi grill, but there is no comparison in the food. Kabuto wins!
Food was good. The veggies were meh. The meat was excellent, but they used so much butter, it should be!!
The lady's bathroom was gross. Trash all over the floor. The toilet seat slips put from underneath ypu when you sit down. The handicap stall was also gross. My husband said the men's bathroom was disgusting. I'm concerned about what the kitchen looks like.
I went in for my birthday dinner and the sashimi, nigiri, and hand rolls did not disappoint. Initially there was an issue that I wasn't seated in the sushi area so I had to wait for another host to move me to the correct section. But otherwise awesome customer service and atmosphere! Friendly and inviting and the food came out in a timely manner!I will be back here!
Food was great. I loved the energy. My kids loved the sushi. My absolute favorite was the crab Rangoon. I am leaving 4 stars because it was not as clean as I would have liked. But not disgusting. Would definitely go back.

They are like the best hands down!!! I wish they offered memberships lol. I always order everything… started off with a beer and a water then I ordered the shrimp tempura sushi roll… then the clear soup then the side salad… then I ordered the hibachi steak and shrimp dinner with extra vegetables in my fried rice
Staff is very consious of social distancing and mask wearing. Our chef was wearing a mask as well as gloves the entire time. We ordered a couple of sushi rolls, and hibachi steak, chicken and shrimp. The fried rice is excellent here and I love the variety in the vegetables. Atmosphere was great. We had an issue of a cold draft at first but the issue was resolved quickly. One of our favorite locations to visit for a date night!
The sushi was wonderful. The hibachi? To die for. But the cute blonde that was seated to my right? That was the highlight. Wish I would have caught her name...
Love this place. Good food, fast service and way better priced than other hibatchi places. Cooks are awesome as well. Especially the one with the black chef hat.
