Hidden gem for sure. I've worked less than 1/2 mile away for 6 months, and just now finding this place. I had the smoked chicken nachos, and they were the best nachos I've ever had. (Disclosure: I chose to not use the sauce, but tried it. It was good but I wanted the natural taste). The quantity was filling and I had a small portion to take home even. Fairly priced. And while I'm at it, the tea was good too. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was very pleasant ans professional. The decor is so welcoming and beautiful as well. I highly recommend and will definitely return as much as possible! I'm so glad my Google review for a Cobb salad led me here, even though I ordered something else. 😋

Well this was voted the best in September 2023 on yelp so we had to give it a try. No kidding this was worth the stop. Right away the chef welcomed us and guided us through the menu. He gave us some sides along with the meal. The salad was great. They took out the seeds in the cucumber so not burping. The Rooster sandwich is a favorite for a reason..great. the chicken salad sandwich was great texture, not overly sweet, and great. Mac and cheese unparalleled.

This was such a great overall experience! The food was amazing. Everyone was really impressed with their food. We tried a few extras and it all tasted SO delicious! Prices were reasonable. The service was so great. The staff was very friendly without being pushy or intrusive. The owner seems like such a down-to-earth, fun guy! He loves what he does and it really shows. We'll be sure to come back next time we're in the area!
Saw reviews online and tried the Rooster for a quick lunch at work. The sandwich was great and the lady that gave me my order at the register was super nice. I definitely will be trying every sandwich!
What a great lunch spot! Food was prepared and presented beautifully. Price was great. Good sized servings. Mac n Cheese was so good! I loved the Pulled Pork (Wilbur) Sandwich, the pork was juicy and tasty! I'll be back for sure! Hidden Gem at Ft. Ben.
I had...nay, enjoyed 2 sandwiches, the jalapeno cheesie mac, the mashed potatoes, the chips AND a cookie. Of course not all in one sitting. Lol the Cubano was delectable and the rooster was outstanding! The mac and cheese had just the right amount of bite. The potatoes were so flavorful. The cookie...THE COOKIE was fantastic! The location was quaint and homey. I enjoyed visiting this place very much. If I lived here, I would come more often.
My sandwich was delicious! I ordered The Rooster and the sauce had a little spice, just enough to keep my attention but not enough to hurt my feelings. The slices of chicken were thick but certainly not dry. The entire sandwich was an excellent combo. The owners were welcoming, and I enjoyed their friendly banter with the regulars I was with. I can't wait to come back and try some different sandwiches.

This area in general has some very exceptional lunch spots. Fitzgerald's leads the pack by far. During my first visited I ordered the ubiquitous Rooster sandwich and it didn't disappoint. I would have preferred a bit more sauce but quite was quite good all the same. I hared some potato salad with a co-worker that was amazing. The Chef had a twice baked potato app (I can't remember the correct name) which was unbelievable. And for those still currently serving they offer you a free drink with your lunch.
I like the place some much I came back the next day with a bogger group. Suffice to say the first visit wasn't a fluke this time the meal was probably just a tad better with the same great friendly service. I had the Cuban and the mac and cheese which were both superbly done.
Come here now. You won't regret it.
As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the owner Mr. Fitzgerald. He offered us samples of his mac n cheese and we also ended up with a sample of their loaded potato casserole. Both were mouthwatering! We ordered the Cuban and the Rooster sandwiches. I highly recommend both! Since it was obvious we were new, one of the servers took it upon herself to make recommendations which we appreciated. The customer service was beyond top notch and I will be there again!
They have the most fresh ingredients & best salads in town. I had the Garden Rooster & it was amazing. The homemade dressing & fresh ingredients was so delicious. I even had leftovers. Thank you to the cooks & staff this place is a hidden gem.
