GREAT PLACE - I’ve only been to Indianapolis a few times over the last 3 years. I’ve walked by this establishment several times but never really stopped to look at the place or the menu. My son moved to Downtown Indy about a year ago.
We were looking for a place to go tonight for dinner and my son suggested India Garden, so we all decided to go here for dinner.
My son and his roommate have only ordered their food to go and said it was good. They were not wrong. This place is clean, the staff is very helpful and friendly. Found out tonight that they have been in business for over 23 years. I know why, the food is very good and flavorful.
We started with Chicken Pakora as an appetizer.
Then we moved to the main course: Tandoori Chicken (very nice), Lamb Curry (Really good), Chicken Tikka Masala (very tasty), Mixed Vegetables in (I think) a Korma Sauce (Wow very nicely prepared vegetables and the sauce was made with cashews - so it had a very nice creamy texture with a great flavor) - we ordered Garlic Naan to soak up all the sauces. Very nicely baked bread.
This restaurant can accommodate small and large groups and also do a lot of catering if needed. Stop by if you want a good meal that won’t break the bank either. I will be going back for sure.
The tandoori chicken was very salty and had little flavor. The Chicken masala, Palak paneer and Naan bread were very tasty however.
Food is good but my negative comment on serving. We have an official order couple of verity’s with chicken tikka mashala (minimum 15 people should take that serve). After serving 5-7 we couldn’t find any chicken pieces there. This is so embarrassing. Make sure how many pieces they serve even a single order. In website they mention delivery but when we ordered they have no delivery option.
Excellent choice. Delicious food, relaxing music, great variety, great prices, great service 😀 their lunch menu (specials) is also great. 3 choices for $12 + free bread and a side of rice. highly recommended 👌

This is some of the best Indian food I have ever had, especially for delivery. The plaque paneer was creamy and sweet, all the sides were full of spice and savoriness, and the lamb was tender and succulent. The rice accompaniment/ biryani was tender in flavorful, with each rice kernel perfectly cooked in seasoned and separated. Especially for delivery, the food held up very well.
Hidden gem in Indianapolis! The food and good service far exceeded my expectations. If you like Indian food I highly recommend giving them a try. We brought a large group in on a Monday night for a business dinner party and would do it again.
We thought the food was pretty good. Even getting medium spice level, we thought it was kinda of bland. Would go back and try again. The service was great. Decore was lovely, and the place looked super clean. They seemed to do a hopping take out business.

Fantastic atmosphere, very clean, food was amazing! Highly highly recommend, especially those who've never had Indian before. Great first experience.
