Came close to closing time on a Sunday night. I’ve been curious about the place since it’s only five minutes away from me but, never made it out to this little hidden gem, up until my parents flew in from phoenix az, and my mother is from Michoacán and my dad is from Peru, So, they come from a very distinguished pallet for foods and they know when they find good food somewhere and a good homemade salsa lol made by an angry woman(inside joke 😄w/ mama). We had various dinner plates from the green enchiladas to the caldo de rez and pozole to the fajitas, all of it was mouth watering and a walk back to my parents home towns but the taste of the food is beautifully blended w/ other cultures sazones, we absolutely loved it if my words didn’t hint on that. Definitely need to go by for their tortillas too. On a daily basis lol. The lady waiters very on point very straightforward and hard-working around the clock. Very friendly so appreciate their hard work everyone it’s not easy to serve. And definitely try their Michiladas delicious‼️ oh, and they mean spicy on their menu 🔥🌶️🔥 🤩Looking forward to making this the go to spot all the time‼️

We ate here on a Sunday and they were packed. My wife and I always share and both plates were very good. My wife got the beef, chicken and shrimp fajitas with bell peppers and onions, all grilled to perfection, especially the shrimp. Her two plates also came with rice, pinto beans, guacamole and a sald and some pico de gallo. I enjoyed Tampiquena Nortena, a strip of grilled beef, an enchilada, rice, refried beans and guacamole and salad. They brought us some chips and a red and a green salsa. The red had some spicy heat to it, i liked it, the green was flavorful and milder. The prices are a little cheaper than some of our favorite places and the food is almost as good.

I was looking for authentic Mexican food for breakfast and stumbled upon this jewel. Everything was freshly made including the most incredible corn tortillas I’ve ever tasted. My only regret is that I didn’t take a dozen home with me. Great food, exceptional service!!

I came here because I saw they had zacahuil. I'm from la huasteca, and tasting good zacahuil was a shock since it's hard to find a good one. I also tried other dishes, the enchiladas, bocoles , and sopes were delicious. The atmosphere was really good as well, a nice family restaurant. There was also someone playing and singing, which I loved. They didn't have a lot of agua frescas options, but it's fine overall.

I had the Enchiladas Huastecas, which were delicious. They are very filling with the queso blanco, and the portions (including the skirt steak on the side) are very generous. Excellent habanero salsa for appetizers as well.

Celebrated Mother's Day a couple days late. Great food and service. Second time and wasn't disappointed. Not sure if we will be going back to Lupe's anymore...this place has real authentic dishes. Since our last visit the walls have new paintings. Lots of people watching the World Cup tournament. For a late lunch they were steadily busy. Our waitress was top notch. Of the seven of us, we selected six different dishes. Everyone was pleased. Another visit, another review. Memorial Day late lunch. Four different meals for four different taste buds. Everyone enjoyed their lunch and loaded up two carry out boxes. Still remains our favorite Mexican Restaurant in the Houston area. All new hand painted tables and wall decorations are updated as well. Great wait staff. Will come back again.
