I live in Kemah and rarely ever get to make it my hometown of Pasadena. I'm running an estate sale a block away from Las Morenitas and thought I'd check it out for lunch... it is almost impossible to find a Mexican restaurant that serves anything resembling fideo soup in Kemah so I ordered the child's plate of alphabet soup. It had a side of cheese and I used my fiances avacado and lime to top it. It was so good and such a large serving for a childs plate I was stuffed... My fiance ordered the grilled seasoned chicken with rice and beans and he said it was delicious. I noticed a dish on the menu that I had never heard of before called Aporreado. It is manchaca (dried beef) mixed with eggs and topped with a very soupy 'special' chile sauce... I promised Maria I would come back for breakfast the next day to try out some breakfast tacos but.... I didn't make it. Shane stopped at Shipleys (not my favorite kolache shop) instead. Today Shane and ordered the Aporreado dish and it was to die for.. we loved it. And tomorrow we will definitely be stopping by for breakfast...
The owner Maria was very sweet and the place is very clean with a great atmosphere. 5☆☆☆☆☆ from me
We had a very sharp waitress. She takes very good care of her customers. The food is well prepared and has an outstanding presentation. The place is immaculate. A family ambience is predominate. L:o)u
Very clean and fast service. Mexican food was really good and servers were attentive at all times. Ordered a torta and some entomatadas. Everything very delicious.
Wow! Awesome gorditas! Strongly recommend. I never seen this place but it caught my eye while running an errand.
Hope to come back soon to try other dishes. Authentic!

One of our favorite places for breakfast. The staff is super friendly & the place is clean. Homemade corn 🌽 tortillas & the best aporriado outside of tierra caliente.
Never been to the place before. But food was good. I had the green chicken enchiladas it was great. The portions of the food are fair for what you pay. Service was very attentive and fast with order. Will go again for authentic Mexican food. Only reason I did not put 5 stars was because they do not allow to split check during the weekends. I’m sure they have their reasons but it was inconvenient. Over all will recommend to eat here and your family
The food here is good. Waitresses are friendly. The plates always have great presentation. The price you pay for your food is pretty fair. They do have a kids meal. If you like spicy salsas that have that. They have a good variety of beverages,I always order the lemonade. I ordered a quesadilla de fajita the last time I ate here, it was flavorful.
If you’re looking for delicious authentic Mexican food and most of all affordable…this is the best in Houston. Food is delicious and service is great. Try them 😊
OMG best Chilles rellenos and Chilaquiles. They give you homemade tortillas.
Great place! The food has good flavor and is spicy if you want it to be. Truly authentic home cooking! Get the Pollo/Carne a la Mexicana or Super breakfast plate!
First time in this place and would go again love the caldo de res and not expensive at all 100% recommend
They absolutely have the best breakfast iv had at any restaurant.
