I personally had a great experience here. Full Mexican Authentic food. I got fajita and a quesadilla.
Pros: Food is warm and has great taste. Meat is soft and handmade tortillas are delicious. Waitress are very Polite. They do have a great Variety of Menu. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. Sauce looks watery but it tastes good (it is spicy). Music is not loud.
Cons: Parking is very limited. I went on a Sunday evening (not packed) Prices are fair, (definitely worth it)
Overall It’s a great Family Owned business! I would definitely come again and maybe try the Breakfast.

The food here was really good and authentic. They have many Mexican options, including all day breakfast. I particularly enjoyed the tortillas which seem to be made on site, and the barbacoa. My only complaint is that our server kind of gave up on us halfway through our stay; I'm not sure of the reasoning. Likely to come again.
The food tastes just like home made by your mexican grandma, the service is homey and the place is in the middle of the most iconic Avenue in one of the oldest latino neighborhoods of Houston
You want authentic? This is the place. Aguas frescas, homemade tortillas, Pozole, Puerto cascabel...can't wait to go back. First had a sample of their food at Segundo Lab inside of Ironworks. Food was so good I asked where they got it from and he said Doña Chelas on 76th.
Nice, Mom & Pop vibe nestled in this East End community. I had an appointment in the area and asked one of the locals where I could go for authentic tacos or good lunch. Without hesitation he suggested Dona Chela... It was everything I hoped it would be. Quaint, Quick & Homemade!! Glad I speak spanish porque la senora no habla ingles pero no problema. 😁 If I'm on this side of town again I will definitely be back to try the fajitas y tamales.

This place has a little of everything. We enjoy their pancakes, burgers, chicken strips. They have a variety of plates.

The breakfast was amazing and the service was absolutely fantastic! Will definitely put this restaurant down as my favorite place to go! The food was authentic and the vibes gave a down home feel like walking into grandma’s kitchen with the homemade tortillas!
