They’re not the thin plastic wrap that you have to develop a special technique to punch the straw throw.
And then once you get the straw in, watch has the drinks seeps over the top.
These are better IMO.
Friendly place, friendly employees. Good food, tasty drink, quick service. The atmosphere is nice, not too busy, not too quiet. It's an okay place to do your school homework, but they only have one plug for the customer.

I love this place and the friendly staff. I only get the bbq pork banh mi because that's my favorite. And theirs is excellent. They recently moved the counter back, making the dining room bigger and the smaller space behind the counter more intimate. It's very family friendly with toys and games.
Also it doesn't hurt that the staff are cute.
All it needs is Pocky sticks again...
Love this place!!!! In a sketchy area but the food and drinks don't disappoint. I've tried their banh mi, spring rolls, vermicelli bowls and a few of their drinks-- all good. The girls behind the counter are really friendly, welcoming and accommodating. No complaints.
The area it's located is near a school, so you'll see a lot of high school kids. The service is great though, they always welcome you with a smile. I usually get a sandwich and a smoothie. I especially love their happy hour, 2pm-5pm, $1 off a large smoothie or slushy!
Delicious! Just moved to town and, while looking for some lunch not far from work, I happened to stumble on this place. I love bubble tea so thought I'd try Tapioca Place. Well, I've already been back! The milk tea with boba is very tasty and the sandwiches are delicious! I've tried the chicken and Asian ham so far. The chicken was better, but even the weird looking Asian ham was great. I will definitely be going back here regularly and hope this place attracts more customers. I'd bring some colleagues, but, unfortunately, there's not really any good place to sit and eat inside except at some counters. I'm hoping they'll spring for some tables once they get off the ground (sounds like they just opened). Either way, go get yourself some bubble tea and a Vietnamese sandwich. They're delicious and cheap! CASH ONLY so bring your greenbacks.
I have been looking for the best banh mi in Houston for years and I just found it! The bread is perfect, not too hard but not too soft, the ingredients were fresh, the pork was delicious and the veggies crisp. I had pork spring rolls also and they were so fresh that the pork was still warm. I wish I had tried this place sooner and I will definitely be back. I had passed by it before because the outside is not impressive but it is clean inside and the food is delicious and well priced.
A good place to have a quick bite. The have boba drinks and I appreciated they asked how heavy in the tapioca balls before making it. Most places you don't get a choice. Flavor was not the greatest I've had but it was good enough to make me want to come back. The people are great along with the service.
It's difficult to put into words how much I love this place! The staff is very nice, and fun to chat with while they make your sandwich or your drink. The prices are phenomenally cheap, but I was very happy with the quality of the meats, the egg, the bread, and the drinks. You got to give this place a shot!!!!
