One of the best Indian restaurants. Huge menu with wide spread options. My order was a take away and can’t comment on the dining experience. Boxes were packed good and no spills. The ambience looked neat and beautiful though.
Taste of the food was as good as you can get close to authentic Indian food. So far the best I have tried in US. But salt was on the higher side. My order was Prawn briyani and chicken 65.
Update:
Dining experience, the staff are friendly and prompt on service. Average wait time for food orders. The taste and quality of the food is comparable to the same restaurant in India. 👍 This time the salt and spice levels were right on spot.
Seating, can accommodate huge crowds. Instrumental music played in the background 👌
Recommend
Kaada roast, chettinad taste and flavours. Would go good with Parota, briyani, idly, dosa or curd rice.
Tandoori mushroom was different and good for starters👍
Vegetarian Kothu parota also tastes good but can add more flavour to it.
Our first visit. Clean, friendly staff and great and tasty south Indian fare. The service was a little slow, to the point that we had to go to the front desk to pay the bill because we'd waited 15 minutes with no wait staff to be seen. But the front desk manager apologized profusely and made it all better. Willing to give them a second try in the future. Lot's of food options and all were succulent and delicious.
Loved their Idiyappam and curry. The ceylon paratha is my fav at this place and it is very consistent. Kothu parota maybe needs a little work. Sunday nights are the best times to go. It was pretty empty. Other times it was bustling with people and wait times were high. Wait staff were very attentive this time (first time was bad due to many people in line). Time to try their thali next time!
This was one of the original south Indian restaurant with food available at its own taste. Without any alterations to USA. It's great place to have original south Indian food. I tried the biryani platter it reminded me my native village style flavours and taste.
Please do try food over here. I tried food over a wrong date when it was there first anniversary in Houston it was heavily crowded. But after the delay I felt like the wait is worth. And staff also apologised for the delay. They are very concerned about there customers.
Please try the chicken dosa and the rava dosa. Kulipaniaram is mind blowing. I always order this here. The owner is a friendly person who gave insights on how they cook in the kitchen and why the dishes are called like that and how passion is their chef about cooking.
Nice ambience. Friendly staff band good food. That's what you need when you go out to eat. It was an awesome experience to learn about the food while enjoying the food. Must visit.
This place I visit recently, I got Bryani with a goat curry, it was good and very very spicy.. This place I believe is good for spicy lovers.. The curry had me running, so be prepared lol
Great South Indian restaurant . I can say it’s similar to what I had in Chennai , India. Spicy food with lots of flavor . They can alter the spice level if you are having someone in your group that don’t prefer South Indian spicy .
Tried their weekday buffet . I was impressed by the number of items they offer for the price . Value for food without compromising quality.
If you haven’t tried it . Please do yourself a favor . When ever I miss home I end up here.
Great food. Spicy, authentic south Indian food. Just be prepared for the heat and spice in every bite! Had a hot an sour soup. Took me a while to regain my taste buds after it!! Exceptionally hot.
Recommend trying their Chettinad chicken and Malabar parotas. Can’t miss items in the menu.
Three of us were going out to dinner on Sunday evening, and we decided to try this new Indian restaurant. While I like Indian food, I don’t know much about it, and I didn’t understand a lot of what the menu said.
We were seated immediately. Our waiter, Manoj, was very friendly and helpful. I asked for his recommendations, and explained that I didn’t care for dishes that were extremely spicy. He gave a couple of recommendations, and I ordered the Butter Chicken.
The others with me wanted to try something that would give them samples of many different dishes. The waiter made a suggestion, and they each ordered it. He explained that the order was huge, and one would be enough for both of them, but they wanted leftovers to take home, so they ordered two.
The Butter Chicken was excellent, just spicy enough and very flavorful. The sampler plates that the other two people had were indeed huge, with a large number different things to try.
Throughout the meal, Manoj was attentive without being intrusive. The service was excellent, and the food was great. We will definitely be returning.
We went on Sunday evening. Very friendly and incredibly authentic Chettinad Indian food. If you’ve never had it, they’ll guide you. If you’re lucky they’ll have a sampler which is most of their dishes on a banana leaf. Great value and also BYOB.
