$- Prices are incredible! I had a hamburger and a taco for less than $7. BRING CASH (NO CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED).
FQ- Food quality was ok to good. Kinda stingy on the condiments (and napkins).
A- Atmosphere: It’s within easy walking distance (2 blocks) to the Burnett station on the red line. I went on a good weather day (all seating is outside, covered, but outside). Pretty busy at the weekday lunch hour.
I had not been here for many years, so it was nostalgic to go back. I was a little disappointed in the veggies (tomato and lettuce) because it was very wilted. The price is great for the burgers! The little poppa burger is small for a kiddo and big poppa burger is regular size for an adult. Overall, it was a good experience. Our service was good and the atmosphere is fine. The seating is outdoors and it is covered. No music, but nice. For a late night burger and fries, definitely recommend! The chili and cheese fries were super good!

They’re open day and night so it’s a cool place to get food after a night out. If you do go late you’re likely to encounter homeless people walking around. It’s in an interesting location. They’ve been there forever and has looked the same ever since I can remember.
This place is old but never gets old. The food is always perfect and greasy.
Update: Recently tried the milkshakes there for the first time. Omg, so good! Why am I just now figuring this out after like decades of going to this magical place.
Remember to tips these ladies, they deserve it. They really really do.
The food is basic done well. I went for breakfast. Everything was made to order and priced very well. There are no frills at all but the ham breakfast taco and bacon breakfast sandwich were tasty. I like the salsa as well since it have flavor and just the right amount of heat. I don’t think the flour tortillas are fresh made, but they cooked them well enough to not really notice.
The staff was super friendly and they have a nice little spot to sit outside and enjoy your food.
My husband and I have loved Poppa Burgers since we lived down the street in 2011. We moved out of the area is 2013, and the one thing I’ve always missed is Poppa Burgers. Their chili cheese fries and breakfast tacos are the very best!

If you are familiar with a Reg. Whopper or Reg.Whataburger then you may want to make it a Double Meat. Kinda small burger for me. Kinda Stingy with the French Fries so if you like a lot of fries to accompany then I suggest a second order.

I had the bacon cheeseburger and cheese fries. The food was really good and fresh. It was 2: 30 in the morning and I was craving a burger, googled late night burgers and found this place. The lady taking my order was very nice. Bring cash as it’s cash only.
