I am really glad I happened across this place. I've been looking for good, reasonably priced burgers for a while (Like Champ Burger). Stack Burger was really delicious. The buns held up well through a drive back to work and the entire meal. The meat and consequently the burger was not way too overly oily and dripping it wasn't too lean either it was just right. I've already been back a few times and this place will be a staple for me at lunch going forward.
Juicy and tasty burger for under 10 bucks! Nice cheese to meat to bun ratio and nice thickness since its between a smash burger and a normal one. I enjoyed everything about it but was not wowed by anything in particular other than the very good price. The lady at the window was very kind and helpful. Next time I will try some of the sides since they have some good reviews.
Hands down, one of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten in my life. The woman who runs it is very sweet and welcoming, takes her time with you and provides amazing service. The food is great every single time. Definitely going to be a regular here for a long time to come.
Not a bad burger, style is similar to an In-n-out burger but not as good. Service was quick and food was hot and made to order which was definitely a plus! Good place to eat close by to the Houston Passport Agency. Fries were ok but were probably just bulk frozen fries with some seasoning added. Burger was a little bland and their “stack sauce” didn’t seem to be too flavorful or they didn’t add enough, All around burger I would give a 7.5 out of 10, but good enough for a return visit. The building is being remodeled but they have a walk up window to place your order. They only have a small area to eat outside with wood benches and narrow bar style tables for seating under umbrellas which is pretty uncomfortable but doable for a place to sit.
Great family owned burger joint. Hidden jewel in the downtown transit center area. Decorated with local artist grafitti. Priced great and great tasting options.
The food is delish. I just tried the iced coffee for the first time and I’m literally blown away. Nothing else can compare now.
I had always passed by this square boxy looking shack at the corner of St Joseph and Louisiana Street in downtown, never did I think that I would have an incredible classic cheeseburger like I did just now. I highly recommend it to anyone who really appreciates a classic All-American cheeseburger. They definitely do use Angus beef and for $12 and some change for a combo which includes a drink and fries a coma it is truly an amazing burger. The beef was also seasoned perfectly, may I add. Dare I say it's better than In-N-Out and Whataburger all together. They are not stingy with all of the fixings and everyone should try Stack Burger at least once. Wow.
Probably the most underrated burger place in Houston. It’s probably top 2 or top 3 in the city up there with Champ Burger. Classic burger with perfect burger sauce. Always get the double. Great seasoned fries. And they’re also very consistent
this rating is based on the price. it's a good deal. very nice burger and the fries were tasty. for the money it is an excellent place for a quick burgers and fries. I got a coke and the drink was fizzy and cold and was an excellent fountain drink on a hot day
I have been a little busy and haven’t been able to get to this review, BUT, now that I’m here, I have to RAVE about this place! I visited this little store on Friday, June 29th. I was walking with my friend to the grocery store down the way when we got really hungry and saw this little place. The wall art is what really caught our eyes, but we didn’t see anyone inside at first so we thought maybe they closed early, but I saw an employee there and the door was open so we went in.
I do have to reiterate again that the artwork is fantastic!! It is spontaneous and eclectic, and it gives a good city vibe. It is also CLEAN, very clean, on the inside, which I loved as well. I had ordered the Charbroiled Pork sandwich which is made Vietnamese Banh Mi style, and my friend ordered the Korean Bulgogi style sandwich. We got sriracha sauce, but didn’t even need it. I tried both sandwiches and they were BURSTING with flavor and definitely didn’t need any sauce.
The baguette bread was that perfect light and crispy crust but chewy and satisfying inside, the pork was super tender as well as the beef in the Korean style sandwich, and the vegetables were fresh and full of flavor. No soggy bread, or wilted veggies unlike some places I’ve been.
It is safe to say that when the time comes, I will be back here again to try more of their food, and since they have a breakfast menu, I will also squeeze that in as well and write more reviews!
