My wife and I really enjoy having a pleasant lunch at Willie's. the staff is always friendly and the service is generally prompt and accurate. The Shrimp Tacos are the best we have eaten in Houston and we have tried many a place. This last visit we both just had a burger. The burgers were cooked to perfection, the trimmings were fresh and crisp and juicy. The onion rings were excellent. I normally forgo the rings and fries and have a side salad. I splurged this time. Cherie had a top shelf 1800 frozen margarita and she said it was great. I highly recommend Willie's.
First visit for my family and me, we absolutely loved it! The food was amazing and the staff was just as good! We got the catfish, which was divine and the fried pickles are delicious! Boiled shrimp was great too! Highly recommend this place!
Amber was our server and she was amazing . The food was delicious. We love coming here.
My server Amber S. was exceptional in waiting on me and my family! She brought us our order on time, she was very nice and respectful. And the food was great! I will come back to eat here for sure.
Went for dinner last night at willies as I just moved in the area. Mandee who greeted my family and took our order was kind and patient with us as we looked over the menu. She recommended the voodoo daddy margarita and it was the perfect sweetness. I will definitely be back.
Usually, I have no complaints. Today was a little different. The cole slaw was old and room temperature, the tarter sauce was warm! And the baked potato was luke warm. Our server replaced the cole slaw and tarter sauce. By then I didn't want to complain about the potato.
Anyway it was a bit disappointing.

One of my favourite places when I come back to Houston! I've been going to various locations since I was 15 or so, and at 30 it's still just as good.
You absolutely have to start with fried mushrooms. They come out super juicy and hot--be careful not to burn your mouth! Dipped in ranch they're one of my favourite fried foods of all time!
My partner and I went healthyish and got grilled chicken--mine was blackened and his was grilled. We both got veggies and I had mashed potatoes with cream gravy (brown gravy is also a choice) and he had rice. The chicken was honestly a little standard and dry, but about what you expect from trying to get something a little bit healthy at a joint like this. No regrets here! My mother got a chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and it was a monstrous portion--she loved it and had to take it to-go for lunch the next day!
Overall another great experience at a place we love to revisit. Our server Michelle was sweet and friendly and did a great job with her timing. We will happily return in a year when we're back in Houston.
Oh my goodness! I have had the best Mother’s Day lunch at Willie’s Grill. I had a blackened chicken Caesar salad which was great. Morgan, my server even told me that all the dressings are made fresh. We also had the fresh fried catfish filets. They are fantastic! Morgan was so kind, and attentive to all our needs. We will definitely be back, and hope to have Morgan as a waitress!
Great chopped steak although I miss the Heinz 57 sauce to put on it. They used to have it. The cream gravy is fantastic. Always order with mashed potatoes.
Fried Mushrooms are everything and the margaritas are perfect, not too sugary or strong! The staff is always helpful in ensuring your order is accurate and always engage in conversation. They really do care about the customers coming in.
Came in to support our son’s school. The guys at the front helped with ordering.
The queso was really good salsa was ok I like my spicy ja ja ja. Food came out quick was nice and hot. Everyone was really helpful and nice. Nice place will definitely be back.
Food was great, service was quick and efficient. it was a little cold in there but overall the experience was a vibe. Make sure to ask for Ivana when you go! I will definitely be back:)
