The best buffet biryani in Houston. If you are vision Johnson Space Center, consider this Indian restaurant. The best value for money. The restaurant is now knows as Tempura Halal Grill. But same Indian cuisine. Under new management and was recently renovated with a modern look.
$50 every time(family of 4) LoL -the most DELICIOUS $50 EVER! Their everything is amazing! Prices are good, food is great. I do suggest calling ahead to order if picking up because the wait can be long.
Let me start off by saying I don't particularly care for Indian food, I only went because my coworker wanted it. With that said, there food was really good! It is buffet style, but the dishes were fresh and good (I can't tell you what it was, maybe chicken, maybe beef). The Mango Lassi "smoothie" was awesome! I would come here again... Even though I don't particularly care for this style food.
New management. New menu and new look and feel. The food is great. They even had a few Indian dishes you don't normally find on a typical Indian buffet. I wished I had asked what they were. Pleasant and comfortable environment. We will be back!
Food is always good! They seem to rotate a few dishes in the buffet out ever week but they tend to keep the Chicken Tikka Masala which is my favourite. Today they had an Indian style fried fish and it was delicious. I typically hate fish but this was great. Crispy on the outside and moist in the center. Also great prices.
Very knowledgeable staff. The owner even came to our table to check on us. Most of all the good was prepared and cooked to perfection. It was my first time to eat Indian food, and it was really delicious. I will definitely be back.
Don't recall the name of the dish I had but it was good. Something with goat in it. You can tell that it is authentic because of the amount of spices they add. There is no other flavor like it. Wife had a chicken dish. Hers was good, but liked mine more :-) The naan was great, fresh baked deliciousness. Next time I will try the buffet. Service was great. The young lady was vary attentive.
Fantastic! At some point people everywhere are going to figure out that this place is a gem. Specifically, Salateen has the best chicken korma - period. To be fair, their chicken tikka masala is consistently salty... Some times too salty that I won't eat that specific dish anymore, but everything else is fantastic. For the price, the selection in the buffet, The Chicken Korma, the service, this place is outstanding. I look forward to my many future visits! Highly recommended for lunch. Indian buffets don't get any better than this! Love this place!
This place significantly exceeded my expectations. My coworkers & I were on an Indian food kick week when we tried several different ones in the area. We went to this one first only because it was closest, but it turned out to be the favorite by far. If you ask for spicy, they will deliver! I definitely enjoyed that aspect but for those that don't like spice, be sure to ask for extra mild.
Delicious! Tried it for the first time just last week. At first I was concerned by the location and it sharing a building with a service station, but my worries were quickly dashed with the first bite. The restaurant was clean, the food was awesome, and the staff was friendly. What more could you want?
I have not yet tried their buffet, but highly recommend Salateen for dinner.
