I spent some time reading mostly excellent reviews. The truly important thing to me is what i think. I don't go there to drink 1 margarita and take up bar space. I go there to eat! Excellent staff and quality of products with generous portions are important to me. If i wanted cheap i would go to Taco cabana.
Cylone's is not your typical Mexican eatery. They actually have put years of thought in to their menu.
Pretty much something for everyone old or young. Valet parking and numerous locations to choose from. As they say, you can't please everyone but i certainly love the place. Need a barstool with my name on it at The Woodlands location.

We hosted a group of 18 for a law school graduation dinner at the Durham street location and it was a great choice! We had a wonderful waiter who was very attentive - and the food was fabulous! If you get the chance to try the crab nachos, you won’t be disappointed! Thank you for a very nice afternoon.
Cyclone Anaya's has happy hour Monday-Friday from 3-7pm. They have a variety of food and drink specials.
Food was so delicious & waitress margaux & her trainee were super attentive loved the service they gave us
Everything was GREAT ! 🎉
This mixed plate was so good. And the fountain drink was crispy!! They used to season the chips more but they didn't do it this time.
Stopped by this location for a quick dinner, and our waiter Berno did not disappoint. He was very friendly, had good conversation - he will probably be a restaurant owner one day. My friend has there mariscos enchiladas (included blue crab 🦀 and shrimp) sooooo delicious. I’m definitely coming back 🥰
Here’s another I’m Just Saying Live review!
I really love putting my server to the test Berno made great suggestions on food and drinks. I have included photos of the sangria swirl and the delicious crab nachos.
My husband and I enjoyed chicken enchiladas.
My kiddos had chicken tenders🥰
*The bathroom was clean as well #Amen
Marlene made my day! She has amazing energy and went above and beyond to give us a great experience. She is warm and funny and while the food is always delicious here, it was her presence that made the whole lunch a wonderful dining experience.
Cyclone Anaya's Mexican Kitchen is an iconic family-owned and operated business in Houston, Texas. It was started by Jesús Becerra Valencia (known as "Cyclone Anaya," a legendary wrestler) and Carolina Berzeny (a beauty queen and Cyclone's Anaya's wife of more than 50-years). In 1966, after six years retired from the sport of wrestling because of a career-ending back injury, Anaya leased an icehouse at 1201 North Shepherd and started his restaurant brand. After Anaya passed away in 1981, his children took over the family business, and it has expanded to multiple locations across the city over the past 50+ years!
I have been frequenting Cyclone Anaya's since moving to Houston. I like this location at 1710 Durham Drive. There is a free private parking lot, and they offer valet as well. If the lot is full, you can find free street parking across the street. When entering the restaurant, you will find all sorts of mementos showcasing Cyclone Anaya and his family.
+Chips and Salsa - I like the complimentary chips and salsa they serve here. The salsa is flavorful and slightly spicy. - 4.5/5
+Roasted Jalapeño Margarita (1800 Reposado, Agave Nectar, Lime Juice, and Roasted Jalapeños) for $12 - Loved the spicy finish on this margarita. For an extra $3, you can make your drink a “jumbo.” This is a better value if you want to drink more. - 5/5
+Combination Fajita Al Carbon (Beef and Chicken fajitas served with caramelized onions, pico de gallo, sour cream, and cheddar cheese) for $35 - The medium-sized fajitas serves 1-2 people. The beef is tender and tasty. The chicken is good, but make sure to dress it up with the garlic butter and extras to level it up. - 4.5/5
Overall, I love this Tex-Mex chain in Houston, Texas. They have great service, amazing food, and quality drinks. What more can you ask for? I would highly recommend checking them out!
New favorite restaurant! The guacamole made fresh at the table(dang near bit my finger off) was the bomb.com.
First time having crab nachos and the nailed it. Definitely will be back.
There are many Mexican restaurants in the city of Houston, however Cyclone has to be one of my favorites. Apart from the food, the service is top tier as they always make you feel welcome and at home. On my most recent visit, our server Nemesis, recommended the Hibiscus Sangria and Titanium Margarita which were amazingly delicious. My wife and I shared fajitas that left us just right. Nemesis never failed to check up on us and ensure our experience was going well. Props to the server and this wonderful establishment!
Marlene has been a great server each and every time I've visited Cycone Anaya's! She is super attentive, so friendly, funny, and just an all around amazing and beautiful person, as long as Marlene is here we will continue to come! Thank you Marlene!!
