OMG how much fun is this place! This circular bar can do no wrong and neither can the staff that works it! Such fun people and such great deals for happy hour drinks! We literarily broke out into dance when Madonna's Hung Up came on! Thank you for letting us be ourselves between this bar and NotsoH there is nothing that can compare to a Downtown Houston day of day drinking - make Warren's Inn your stop as its an inevitable part of your pub crawl.
This establishment is so dear to me and the many wonderful memories that have been made here over the years . Truly outstanding I hope y'all remain blessed and in business Thank You for serving houston for all these years and many to come.
This was my favorite place. I hadn't been in many many years, but we were in recently and I ordered what I always used to order, a Grand Gold (margarita on the rocks with grand marnier), but was told they don't have the fixings for it. Ordered a Hendricks Gin Tonic instead. Although very strong, it was a Bombay (not a fan). The juke box seems to have been updated (though thankfully still had some really old classics like Cab Calloway).
Great bartenders! If you know about the drinks, you know. A must stop if you go downtown
Warren’s is a great spot for cheap, strong drinks and no-nonsense, straightforward service.
Not exactly a dive bar but it’s close. A comfortable, anti-fancy, come-as-you-are type of place you can slip into like your favorite slippers. No lines, no cover charge, no pretentiousness but also not overly warm and fuzzy. Historic in Houston’s bar scene, Warren’s is a “get what you see” kind of place.
Rules: bring your ID, don’t walk in just to use the bathroom, and know what you want. There’s no trendy seasonal cocktail menu and it’s a relaxed slow pace here. Don’t be that impatient guest waving their credit card or chasing bartenders… They see you and will get to you soon.
At Warren’s, be kind and cool and you’ll be treated even more kindly and “cooly.” Alternatively, if you play stupid games you’ll win stupid prizes.
It's a quite place. The bartender was a little more chatty, once we ordered a few drinks, I enjoyed her. Katie, I believe was her name, and she has a heavy hand! The drinks are cheap and strong. If we make it back to Houston, this is where we will spend most of our time!
Been coming here for years. Don't let the negative reviews fool you. This place is an institution for their "DRINKS"! Be an adult & just order your drink. Don't get in your feels if they take their time. Just start a conversation with a new friend or play on your phone. You will get your drink and you will definitely get your money's worth. Had my wedding after-party here bc you can beat the available space, drinks, and vibe!
Recommend although staff is hit or miss. Sometimes there are grumpy guys that get mad if you trying bringing in dog even though no is there. But others times it's great like when Craig is there. He is among the best bartenders in all of the city
Great little hole in the wall place.
Have to apologize about the little jukebox war we were having. Didn't want to listen to religious country music while trying to decompress. (Jesus take the Wheel, etc) so our choices may have been a bit heavy handed in response.
Great drinks and atmosphere. A must visit if you're looking for a mixed drink bar.
It is what it is. I would go to this place 25 years ago... and I walked in the other night and it was EXACTLY like it was back then. Nothing had changed. 25 years ago this was one of the oldest watering holes in Houston, now it's a landmark. The owner and staff aren't there to be the trendiest place, they just serve drinks. This place has been popular with downtown locals since the rebirth of downtown, and the old timers. If you're looking for something different that an actual bar, look elsewhere.
