If you're going to go for a Chinese buffet, it's hard to go wrong with East Star. Lots of different dishes and sushi. Also, minimal non Chinese items. Pizza, rolls and some fries maybe. It's not gourmet by any means but you knew that when you chose to go to a buffet.
Amazing food.....always hot and fresh.....can never have enough of this place!! Good service!!! The place for deserts ,sushi and a variety of prawns!
LOTS OF VARIETY LOTS OF FOOD!. Been here too many times to count over the years. Best bang for the buck in these parts if you're a big eater. Best time to eat is around lunch time cause you get fresher food (most AYCE). Eat about once a month, more often & gets boring. Variety, lots of variety! Seafood, lots of seafood! Most food here is very fresh & freshly cooked. I've tasted most everything there over the years & on some days it's much better than others but rarely have I been disappointed. Service & atmosphere are superb & it's very well kept!
My favorite place!!!. Environment is great ...people are very friendly...one of our favorite places for a family lunch/dinner.....the sushi is excellent...the hot and sour soup is the best i had in houston...great place....very very very clean...restrooms are the cleanest i've seen in a while
Great time. Very friendly. Kids loved it. Food was good with many choices. Have three children (18 mths- 6yrs). Hard to find place to please all at once. Had something on buffet for each. Lived down the road and went at least once a week as family. Now living in Dallas and haven't found anything that compared. Wife and still compare everything to this place.
Food was average. Restaurant setup and atmosphere was different. Buffer was elongated across the wall.
Staff were lovely. Lunch at the buffet costed us much less than DQ lunch. These days it doesn't really make much sense to eat elsewhere than buffet for lunch, because it cost almost the same as fast food menu.
This is a pretty good Buffet. They have a great selection and good atmosphere. The food was refreshed constantly so most all of it was pretty tasty. Our waitress was excellent. She deserved a big tip. She was very helpful with the child that was with us and making sure drinks for full and that we were always doing well. Only complaint I really had was the cost. It was just a little higher than I expected and since we traveled all that way didn't want to go back to one of the others.
Worth it just for their sushi. They extended there selection and it's fair for the price.
This was a nice buffet style restaurant. The kept the food fresh and hot. Nice verity of sushi.
I go for the sushi, seaweed, soup, and those bananas with the pink goo. The hot and sour soup is very good and they have a great variety of fresh grilled vegetables, sushi and sashimi.
The food is muy delicioso!! My family love it and we come here often. I always wish vicky to be my server she is the best! She is beautiful lady.On the week days when I come with my brother she is never working. After the meal we are always excited for our fortune cookies! So wonderful place awesome yummy!
Welcoming, friendly staff, very prompt with beverage refills/plate pick-up...food was beautifully presented, perfectly cooked, and a huge variety for every taste! Will definitely return!

On vacation, just happen to stumble on to them. This was 2nd time we stopped here while on vacation. Very nice selection of items. Most items were hot (temperature), came across afew items that were luke warm ( but it is tuff to keep everything hit on a buffett).

It can get noisy in there when they are full.

Came here during lunch and had a really great meal. Their fried crab was delicious. Egg rolls were great. The wonton soup definitely could have used some wontons well but it wasn't bad. Also their dinner rolls were so delicious. All the other stuff was good too but those were my favorite things. Service was also excellent. She didn't let my drink go down more than halfway. Oh also they're fried chicken wings were freaking off the chain
