Found this spot on the way home from the Dickens on the Strand festival! So great! The inside is not fancy, but the food is fantastic. Tastes fresh and delicious. Would recommend trying the cauliflower and sample platter ❤️
This place is amazing!!! My boyfriend and I were in love with the food here and the staff was so lovely and kind. For meals we got the sampler plate to try a little of everything, and the vegan stir fry and oh my goodness they were so yummy. The salad was great as well and the spicy potatoes were definitely a favorite for us.
YES!!! Wow. Tabboulleh, beef shawarma, falafel, kibbeh, green salad, pita, garlic sauce, tahini all were placed on our table and ALL of it was excellent and the price of our meal was so very reasonable. I will be back.

Note: I do agree there is a slight smell from what is probably an extremely old sewage line, but it was not a total distraction. The entrance to the parking lot also needs to be filled. We wondered when we saw this and an almost empty lot if we were making the wrong choice, but I am happy to say I am so very glad we still gave it a try.
I am surprised this place was able to slip under my radar for so long. My fiance and I love Mediterranean food and never realized this place was right around the corner in clear lake.
We got the grape leaves, falafel salad, humus, beef kababs, the kofta kababs, and the Turkish coffee. The food was absolutely fantastic and I am so happy I found a place that actually serves Turkish coffee, I have been wanting to try it for a long while now.
I liked the environment felt homey in a way and the staff is the best.
10 out of 10 will be going again and recommend you to do so as well if you have never been.

The best Mediterranean food in the area. Don’t turn away because of the outside, the food is absolutely delicious. We got the grape leaves, yogurt + cucumbers, lentil soup, Greek salad with chicken, hummus, baba ghanoush and olives. All of it was amazing and better than most of the Mediterranean spots around.
Definitely making this a staple!
This diner really surprised me. We've passed by it a few times, and didn't think much until the other night. Glad we went in, was the best mediterranean in the area! I'm really happy the owners put vegan/nondairy etc on the menu, it's very helpful and amazing for vegans/vegetarians. Delicious hummus.
I was wonderfully surprised with the food! It was fresh, hot and full of wonderful flavor. We've tried other places and the kids and I wanted to try somewhere we had not been. New favorite place. A must try for sure so don't sleep on this place. Awesome staff. Very sweet.
Truly a gem. Not only is Sawa great at catering to my celiac diagnosis (which requires a strict gluten-free diet), but all of the flavors are so rich, fresh, and bright. The service is also impeccable. My go-to is the chicken ciku stirfry with a side of hummus and cucumbers, but you can’t go wrong here. Plus, the portions are great, and I always have leftovers!
Food was great! The customer service was amazing. The restaurant was very well kept and clean. Reggie was our waiter and he was very wonderful. The food came out very quickly and he was very accommodating and constantly made sure we weren’t missing anything. Would 100% recommend.
