Lupe is my favorite restaurant in the world. You're not in North Texas yet but I'm keeping the faith.. our waitress Nicole/Nicky? was great! The fajitas are just out of this world. They have great flavor and don't just taste like cooked meat....
First I just have to say - who would’ve thought coffee, chips and salsa would be a winning combo?!? Our first time having breakfast/brunch at Lupe’s and it was great! Good coffee, tacos, and burritos - and sopapillas. There are only 3 locations that do breakfast we were told - Shepherd, Bunker Hill and The Woodlands. Will definitely do this again. Oh! The manager and our waitstaff were the best - wish the level of customer service was more consistent throughout their stores. Merry Christmas 🎄
Food is great & has a unique flavor that separates itself from other Tex-Mex restaurants. The atmosphere is cool and will keep anybody busy, there's so many things to look at. The presentation of the food was great and everything from the salsa to the meal as spaced out well so you may enjoy each without feeling rushed. I enjoyed this place and will definitely go back again.
Delicious but pricey. The Grandioso fajitas combo for $63 is listed as enough food for 2-3 people but it was only enough food for a fat guy like me. You're better off ordering single platters, you get more food for your money. The service was good and the staff kept checking up on every table often. Lots of seating available even though it looks small when you first walk in. They have two patio areas in the back.
For my first night in Houston I was taken here and it was lovely. I had a great time. The staff was very nice and the food was very comforting. It's no fine dining but it made me happy. The cheese sauce was everything you want it to be and the steak in the fajitas was so tender.
Lupe's was one of the first places that I ate at when I first moved to Houston. I had tried tex-mex food elsewhere before, but having it IN Texas at Lupe's was a whole different thing.
This place just has a special place in my heart. I'd go here with some of my closest friends, and we'd split fajita platters. Really glad I got to swing by this place again while I was visiting Houston.
This place is always yummy. The tortillas taste home made and are huge. This sounds silky but the only negative is that the home made Chios are too soft to scoop up the guacamole, the guacamole is so yummy! But, the chips break trying to scoop it. One of my favorite Tex meC locations (and I’m hard on them!!!!!)
The first time here, & the service was great! The food was delicious, the drinks were very good, overall this place is a new spot to come
Great service, plenty of chips and salsa, love the beans with the chips. We got queso, highly recommend, watch out for jalapeños on the side. Love the chicken snd beef fajitas, can't choose, onions, guacamole are good too.
Always delicious food! The shrimp was a little fishy but everything else was fantastic. Highly recommend the tamale and steak fajitas.
Fajitas are a definite here, though a little heavy on the w-sauce. Salsa is the right amount of roasted, without being overly smokey --10/10. Tortillas are burrito sized, which is so great.
We had the crab and avocado appetizer, but I wouldn't recommend it. Very salty. Also, the puffy taco was just OK. It's made differently than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise, but definitely underdone and oil drippy.
But! This place has great potential. We loved the fajitas, and I bet it's a matter of finding "your" dish.gping for the burrito next time.
Service was exceptional, too.
We came here from Colorado and 3 of shared a fajitas platter. All the meats were so tender and juicy but the ribs omg chefs kiss. Only thing we disliked was the rice it tastes very cheap and like it was out of a box style rice. But that is our complaint definitely recommend
