Good food and good service. This place has so much to offer so many hot and cold sandwiches. Dinners and desserts even breakfast is served all day. Large portions you should not leave hungry. They have a cool decor with movie and Broadway poster. Well worth stopping at for a filling meal.
The Greek omelette is the bomb, kids! I totally recommend it! It is big, healthy, and so good! I've had sandwiches there as well, and I promise you that you can make at least two meals from a sandwich because they are absolutely packed with me! Everything we've had from there has been really yummy! This particular location had room outside for my grandson's to be very active and run around which is always a help if they don't feel like sitting still in restaurant! On Mother's day that you even gave us free cookies :-) what's not to like!
Kenny and Ziggys, if your ever sick, the chicken soup does the trick, always swear by it. Sandwiches are so big 2 people can share. Most of all, it always is clean, smells clean, looks clean even the restrooms..the menu has a great variety of things from hot to cold. Always love it even for breakfast, I dont give many 5 stars but they do deserve it.
I had my doubts as to whether or not Ziggy's could duplicate their flagship site at a second location ... Wow! Awesome job, guys! We used to live in Houston; now that we're live in New Orleans, we have to stop at Ziggy's pretty much every time we visit our old home. I have yet to find a bad dish here. Try their cheesecake and their eclairs for an enormous AND delicious treat.
Wow! Just wow. Amazing NY deli. Meats were fabulous and so generous.
Couple notes for gluten-free diners:
- the GF bread is good, not dry and crumbly but also not rye-style which is disappointing. I make a wonderful rye-style GF bread so I know it can be done.
- the GF bread is standard sandwich size but their regular bread is that oversize deli loaf.
- when you take same amount of meat and put it on a slice with 30% less area, the sandwich grows 50% taller.
- you will have to be able to unhinge your lower jaw to take a bite of one of their triple deckers on GF bread or risk dislocating something trying.
We never visit Houston without stopping in here. The eggs Benedict are consistently eggs-ellent. The blueberry cheesecake pancakes are rich and decadent. The tea selection is decent and the coffee is always fresh.
I love this place. It's a real-deal deli like you would find in NYC. The servings are huge. I love their fresh pickles. The cheesecake is out of this world.

Love the quality of the food. Generous portions love the clean kitchen. Clean restrooms. It's not the cheapest place in town, but it ranks with the best places in town.
The food is incredibly tasty and very authentic compared to a NY Deli. Those huge sandwiches you get off Broadway...same deal but less expensive and without the snarky waiter. I love that they serve the full menu in the morning.
