Great food in a unique atmosphere
Loved the food and the staff were very polite a courteous. On our 6 day trip we went to Pappas twice it was that good. Recommend the beef ribs and brisket and they even do collard greens very well.
By far, this was the highlight of our trip to Houston!
Akhhh what tasty meat! I enjoyed every bit of it from the sausages to the rib to the brisket, they were all straight on point! The sweet potatoes were such a tasty addition to my day!
Very Good. There BBQ sauce was not good, but get it on the side. The food itself was very good. The pulled pork, sliced beef, potato salad, mac n cheese, spicy rice and carrot cake was realllllyyyyyy good. The fries aren't great though.
Beef was very good again. Sausage I got with beef this trip was pork and loved it. Have still had better but I like this place and will return to this or other locations. Had yams again as well and all was really good.
Just okay .... I wouldn't say that this is the best barbecue place I've been to, but it's certainly not the worst. I would agree that the ribs are little fatty, but that's what makes the ribs so tasty. (You could always just rip the fatty parts off.) As for the potato salad and macaroni salad, I was not impressed with either side item. Would I get food from here again? Probably only the ribs and not much else. Perhaps the macaroni & cheese ... that seems to have gotten a good review.
Breakfast Tacos = Amazing. Huge, cheap, and delicious. I recommend the bacon, egg, and cheese (add potato). About $2.50 and very filling. The barbacoa is also great, although a bit different than classic barbacoa (it has a bit of barbeque flavor I think...but very tasty).
Also, the cheesecake (oddly enough), is one of the best I have ever had. If you like cheesecake, you MUST try a piece!
I got the brisket plate. It was awesome! I have never been here before. Service was ok. The food was incredible, and I'm looking forward to trying everything.
It is not the best Bbq in Houston but it is very good for a chain restaurant. I have been wonderfully impressed the last several times I've been here. Really solid que.
We love it so much that we went there two days in a row. We ordered the mixed platter on the first day, then just the baby back ribs on second day. Nice relax atmosphere. Not a fan of the Mac and cheese but order them anyway on both days as the side, cause my other half loved it. Portions were good for two people. We left full and satisfied.
The barbecue here is really really good for being more of a “chain.” Their brisket has an excellent smoke ring and char, giving it a really good flavor and texture in the outside. The smoked sausage is also really nice with a good snap with the casing.
Their bbq sauces are also excellent, coming in regular, hot, and mustard flavors.
The Mac and cheese is good, but a little too watery for my liking.
The yams are amazing. Definitely get this side when you come here!
The main thing I didn’t like was the beef rib. It was incredibly tough, dry, and barely had any meat. I would not recommend this at all.
Overall really good BBQ if you just don’t get beef ribs.
Baby back ribs were excellent. Seasoning made it almost impossible to put sauce on them!
The portions are insanely huge. The atmosphere is kinda like a cafeteria where you get your food on a tray and grab a seat. There’s plenty of seating and plenty of parking.
Definitely a good place to get some bbq if u are in Houston give it a try sometime
I was coming back from Spain and when coming back I was missing some bbq , I was looking for places to eat and this restaurant popped up , I was looking through the menu and the food looked delicious . When I was about to order and a manger came up to me and asked what I was going to order and she gave me some recommendations . I was asking questions on what is the most popular plate and she told me the brisket plate . She was giving me good suggestions on the food and the one plate that sounded good was the the brisket plate. When I got my plate I went to sit down I tried the food and it was so good I missed it the bqq . When I was almost done with my plate the manager Ms. Evelin came to my table and asked me how the food was and I told her it was delicious. In my opinion the food was delicious I would give it a 9/10 the costumer service was on point
My family and I stumbled upon this wonderful BBQ place. We were so hungry and boy I am happy we brought our appetites! The food was so delicious ❣️❣️❣️
The food is decent. We had ribs plate and chopped beef baked potato. The service cashier (older seasoned black momma) reminded me of home back in the day. She was warm, friendly, knowledgeable and most of all treated us like family. So much so that my husband jokingly told her if he wins the lottery he would retire her. She laughed and continue with her impeccable service.
Queen and mother of the establishment and definitely a keeper!!! We'll see you again hun.
