very convenient to dine when back home and where i reside.
The food was bomb! The service was really good. (Nothing extraordinary. But, it was still good!) And the atmosphere, at this particular location was normal. Which means a lot lot better than a, whole lot of other places on this, "beautiful" island! :)
Pretty quick service. Missing all the homeless though. Lol
This is a McDonalds in downtown Honolulu near the Ross and further down the a Walmart further down the mall, walking towards the ocean.
The upstairs is open for dining, has a nice quiet atmosphere and decor that is warm and inviting. Many people were there but it was comfortable with enough space to make it private as we did not sit next to others except where there was a clear decorated panel which served as a barrier between us. It was a pleasant morning as there weren't loud boisterous customers. One man sat alone doing a crossword puzzle.
This location is such that you best reach it by using a City Bus. Many buses pass through there and frequently. Tourists from Waikiki will find it within easy reach, perhaps a 20 minute or less ride from Waikiki.
Convenient location in downtown. Unfortunately there are a lot of homeless nearby but this is not any reflection on the location. Second story has seating and bathrooms. 1st floor has a handful of window facing seats. New kiosks for ordering and new look is good. Service is fast and the lunch crowds can get sizable. Using the app to order is definitely the way to go during lunch.
McDonald’s in the heart of Downtown Honolulu. As a result, it gets super busy at lunchtime, but the staff is very fast and your order is delivered to you quickly.
These ladies should get an award. Yesterday when I went to this McDonalds to get a Diet Coke I was there for less than 5 minutes and saw employees berated and yelled at by two customers.. in 5 minutes! The staff and their manager remained composed, kept a smile on their faces, and didn't allow it to affect the level of service they provided to the next customers in line. Anyone who has worked in customer service or retail understands this scenario. These ladies were fabulous and I really appreciated the fact that they didn't lose face. Great job ladies!!
Fast service
Great customer service
Clean for location
Convenient location for downtown workers or people having to transfer from bus...
Located on Hotel St across from Ross..
Food is served in a timely manner..
I only have 2 complaints about this place... The apple slices are 8 out of 10 times not crispy... I even received some that were expired a couple of times..
Second one is really beyond their control.. but consumers need to know, especially the ones that are commuting alone or the many teenagers I see that get off at Fort Street Mall en route to school...
There are A LOT of homeless people there... many with mental health problems... Many are either filthy or threatening if not both.. There are some that are just down on their luck too.. But please use caution if in the area...
Food is fine but service is horrible & extremely slow. Stop only when I don't have time to go somewhere else or restaurants around it are all very busy. Also be sure you ask for everything you may need of taking out: napkins, utensils, condiments, straw, etc. Or you will be w/o.!!
They usually have tasty food..my special orders have been done the way I like. Only suggestion is they get someone to clean the upper dining tables more often.
